What kind of café is Noknok in Yeonnam-dong?
Noknok (녹녹, Knock Knock) is a two-floor café on Seongmisan-ro in Yeonnam-dong where takeout iced americanos cost just ₩1,900, and it's a great place to work on a laptop. Today's post is about a café I visit all the time. It has a 1st and 2nd floor, and since it's so good for laptop work, I think I come at least once a week.
Noknok opening hours
Noknok is open 08:30 - 23:30. It opens early and closes late. The coffee is cheap, and the café is spacious too, so you can work on your laptop comfortably.

Noknok has two floors. The women's restroom is on floor 1 and the men's restroom is on floor 2.

Noknok's 1st floor seating: where to sit for laptop work
The unusual thing about floor 1 is the square of sofas in the middle, with seats facing each other from opposite sides. You'd think that would be awkward, but they aren't pushed close together, so you don't feel self-conscious at all, and the sofas are big and comfy, so lots of people sit there.

For laptop work, I recommend the long table at the very back of floor 1. It has outlets, so I'd recommend it to people who come to work like me, but it's usually full, so grabbing a seat isn't easy.

I brought my laptop this day too and was aiming for the back seats, and luckily they were free, so I got to sit down comfortably.

The back area of floor 1 also sells bakery items.
Noknok menu and americano price

An iced americano at Noknok is ₩3,800 to drink in and ₩1,900 as takeout. You order at a kiosk. It's a big café with two floors and the coffee is cheap, so it's always busy whenever I come.

Besides coffee, they also sell teas and smoothies.

Noknok bakery: what desserts are there?
The bakery area has breads that can fill you up, as well as sweet desserts for a light snack.

I could see egg tarts and scones too.

For madeleines and glacés, there were yellow cheese ganache madeleines, lemon glacé madeleines, raspberry glacé and mocha hazelnut glacé. The yellow cheese ganache madeleine (₩4,000) was so good when I tried it on an earlier visit that I got it again this time.

Originally Noknok didn't sell bakery items separately, but at some point they started. It's nice for customers to have something light to eat, and I bet it's been good for the café's sales too.

They have cookies too. The New York levain cookie (₩4,100) in the photo looked delicious, so I had it as well that day.
What is Noknok's 2nd floor like?

The 2nd floor hasn't been there very long, and the interior feels a bit different from floor 1. It's spacious too, good for laptop work or reading, and the men's restroom is right in front of it. When floor 1 has no seats, I often come up here.

Sometimes when I visit there isn't a single empty seat, with everyone working on laptops, but strangely both floors were roomy this day.

I like that the tables on the 2nd floor aren't squeezed together, so it doesn't feel stuffy. When there's no good laptop spot on floor 1, I sometimes come upstairs.

Noknok americano: what if you pick two different beans?
This day I ordered two iced americanos at Noknok, one with the nutty bean and one with the acidic bean, and they gave me different cups so I could tell them apart. Funny thing: the cup on the right looks taller, so it seems like it holds more, but the amount inside is the same.

Cheap coffee and snacks, and comfy seats where you can work at your leisure: that's Noknok! If you visit Yeonnam-dong often, I recommend giving it a try!
