Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall is a Bucheon pizza place I'd wanted to try for ages because of its red sign. After a shopping trip, I got hungry and finally went.

We have one big project at home right now: decorating our daughter's room. We wanted to buy her a new desk, so we browsed the furniture street near Chunui Station and then went on to Hyundai Department Store Jungdong. By the time we finished, we were starving. And there was a place I'd long wanted to visit because that red sign is so eye-catching: Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall, and we finally made it!

Today I'll tell you about this Bucheon pizza spot where my husband and I went, just the two of us, and finished a whole pizza.

What are the atmosphere and seating like at Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall?

The shop isn't big, but the interior is neat and there's an outdoor terrace too. We visited at lunchtime on a weekday Friday.

It was smaller than I expected, but the first impression was super clean. The inside is well kept, and the terrace is prettily decorated, so on a nice day it would be great to eat outside.

Best of all, the tables are spaced widely, so we could eat comfortably without feeling cramped.

How clean is the self-serve bar at Cheesewave?

At Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall, you pick up your bowls, knives, forks, pickles, napkins and wet wipes from the self-bar. It was so neatly organized that it surprised me most.

I've never seen a self-bar this clean.

The self-bar was one of the biggest surprises. Bowls, knives, forks, pickles, napkins and wet wipes are all self-serve. And it's all organized so, so neatly, which I loved. I especially recommend it if you're bringing a baby or are sensitive about hygiene!!

The holder for the forks and knives was so pretty that I wanted one in my own kitchen, haha.

You can feel they care about even the small details, which made it even more satisfying.

How do you order at Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall?

You place your phone on the table and the order page opens automatically. You don't need to look for a QR code.

The ordering method was a bit unfamiliar. Instead of hunting for a QR code, you set your phone on the table and the order page opens by itself. Even if you find machine ordering hard, the instructions are clear and we ordered quickly. Don't worry!!

What should two people order? Wave Set 2 half-and-half pizza

We ordered Wave Set 2 at Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall. It comes with pizza, fries and a drink, so it was just right for two.

We chose a half-and-half pizza:

• 🍕 Bacon cheddar cheese pizza for my husband

How does Cheesewave pizza taste? Hawaiian and bacon cheddar cheese

When you lift a slice, the cheese stretches endlessly, and cheese is sprinkled all the way to the edge of the dough. The Hawaiian was a sweet pineapple-and-cheese combo, and the bacon cheddar had a rich, savory flavor.

Just like the shop's name, the cheese is truly art

When the pizza finally came out... I immediately understood why it's called Cheesewave. The moment you lift a slice, the cheese stretches on and on, and it looks incredible. The cheese even reaches the end of the crust, so every bite has that cheesy flavor!! It's great for photos too, and my expectations shot up before I even took a bite.

The Hawaiian, with sweet pineapple and cheese, is my favorite and it was delicious as always. The bacon cheddar had a savory, deep flavor that doubled up, and my husband enjoyed it too. Like a proper Bucheon pizza spot, the dough is chewy and the toppings are generous.

The self-bar even has takeout bags so you can pack up leftover pizza... but we cleared the whole pizza, hahaha.

Cheesewave stamp card and after-8 PM drink deal

Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall gives you a stamp when you order a large pizza, and with 6 stamps you get a free pepperoni pizza. After 8 PM, beer and soju are ₩2,500.

Next time we'll come back in the evening!

The owner was really kind, and since we ordered a large pizza we got a stamp coupon. Collect 6 stamps and you get a pepperoni pizza, so it seems like a good deal for regulars.

One more thing! After 8 PM, beer and soju are ₩2,500. At night the lights come on, so I imagine the mood gets even prettier. Next time I'll visit in the evening and enjoy pizza and beer.
