Why I chose a MagSafe mount over an air-vent mount

Not long ago, I happened to ride in an acquaintance’s car and was so amazed when their phone snapped right onto the car mount with a magnet. Looking into it, I found that many of them use MagSafe. I had used an air-vent mount all this time, and while it was nice because it did not take up space, it blocked the cool air in summer, made me worry about the phone in the heater air in winter, and sometimes interfered with the steering wheel. Honestly, it had more inconveniences.

After putting it off and off, I finally changed mounts to the 비티냐 360° Rotating MagSafe Car Phone Mount, which has a sleek design, strong magnetic hold, and a rotating, foldable structure.

What is included and how the vacuum suction works

It sticks anywhere with powerful vacuum suction and connects securely to the phone with strong magnetic attraction, so as long as there is a surface it can adhere to, you can place it wherever you want at the angle you prefer. First, I checked the contents: the manual, magnetic ring, surface-cleaning wipe, mount, and round pad.

The mount itself basically uses vacuum suction. Simply turning it in the two directions, Tight and Open, makes engaging and releasing the vacuum very easy. I wondered if it might be weak because it looked like plastic, but it is made from zinc alloy, aluminum alloy, and ABS, so it is strong and sturdy while weighing only about 130 g. It comes in black and white; since my dashboard is black, I chose the black 비티냐 mount so it would blend in.

How are the 360° rotation and folding design?

It is not very large, so once attached it looks neat. It can rotate 360° as needed, and because it is foldable, you can fold it away after installation so it does not block your view and stays looking tidy. In particular, the 360° rotating section lets you position it in various ways for convenience while driving, regardless of where it is attached.

Can you attach a magnetic ring to use it with a Galaxy?

Since MagSafe itself is a feature built into Apple iPhones, phones from other manufacturers such as Samsung and Xiaomi, as well as older iPhones up to the iPhone 11 series, can use MagSafe by attaching the included magnetic ring. I use a Galaxy Z Flip too, so I attached the magnetic ring to the back of its case with the attachment position in mind and tested it on the mount. It stuck right on!

Rather than install it on the windshield, where it would block my view, I decided on the dashboard. I cleaned the surface thoroughly, attached the round pad first, then placed the mount on top and turned it round and round into vacuum mode. It became very firmly fixed.

I thought I would use my work phone more in the car for navigation and things like that, so I attached the magnetic ring to my Galaxy Z Fold. The magnetic force is so strong that even the heavy Fold stays attached; no matter how much the car shakes while driving, it does not fall off. It seems like it could be used in lots of ways, not just as a car mount but in the kitchen, at the gym, or for filming vlogs.

My satisfaction using it for navigation and music controls

Navigation and music are easy to control with one hand, and I like that the strong magnetic force keeps the phone attached without it falling. It rotates 360° smoothly regardless of landscape or portrait orientation, so changing its position is easy too.

As a good-value car phone mount, the 비티냐 MagSafe mount is absolutely one of the best items in that respect. I can see the navigation screen clearly while driving, and I am so satisfied in every way that I am planning to replace the one in my father’s car soon.
