Hanmaeum Meat Restaurant Songdo Timespace branch is open 16:00–22:00 on weekdays (Mon–Fri) and 12:00–22:00 on weekends (Sat–Sun). Last order and play room closing are at 21:30. Groups, reservations, parking, takeout, high chairs and wheelchair access are all available, and there's a play room too!!

Saturday dinner at a Songdo Timespace BBQ restaurant: do you need to book?

Hanmaeum Meat Restaurant Songdo Timespace branch was already packed at 6 pm on a Saturday, so booking ahead is a good idea. It's a newly opened place at Songdo Timespace, and I stopped by after watching a movie there!!!

I went at 6 pm on Saturday and it was absolutely full!!!! I got the very last table, and the people who came after me had to wait, haha. So many people!!!! It's a butcher-shop restaurant, so the meat quality is good and the portions are big, and there's even a kids' play room, which is probably why.

There are so many people inside, haha. The place is large with lots of seats, so it's comfortable to use!!!! It was packed at dinnertime...!! I had made a reservation, haha.

Private rooms and a play room: good for group dinners or outings with kids?

Hanmaeum Meat Restaurant Songdo Timespace branch has both private rooms and a play room, so it works well for group dinners and for gatherings with children. The play room is totally awesome, haha. The kids were so excited here.

The kids played so well in the play room that parents can eat in peace, haha. There were lots of kids and they played nicely together. There are rooms too, so it's perfect for group meetups or company dinners, and you can enjoy a private gathering!!!

There are baby chairs, so it's easy to come with a little one, and they even have a coffee machine and fabric freshener spray, which is perfect for freshening up after the meal, haha.

On one side, meat was aging, and it looked super fresh.

Menu and basic side dishes at Hanmaeum

The menu at Hanmaeum Meat Restaurant Songdo Timespace branch has a wide range of meats, including beef and pork! I ordered the half-pig (500g).

Once you order, the basic side dishes arrive. There's a scallion salad with jjolmyeon (chewy wheat noodles) mixed in, haha. It was so good!!!!

Kimchi comes as a side too, and I loved that pickled perilla leaves came out, haha. Doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) also comes as standard!!!

You just boil the doenjang jjigae right at the table, and it's so good, haha.

Fresh ssam vegetables, pickled radish wraps, bean sprout salad, garlic with ssamjang (seasoned dipping paste) and seasoned spring cabbage come along too, haha.

It's a generous spread of side dishes, haha.

The half-pig at Hanmaeum is 500g for ₩45,000, and you get to try pork belly, neck, pork jowl and more, haha. You get a ton of meat, so the price is really kind :')

They put it straight onto the grill for us, haha.

The meat is so good that even though I'm bad at grilling, it came out really delicious, haha.

There's a spot on one side of the grill to park finished meat, so you can eat it warm all the way through, haha.

It's juicy and delicious just on its own,

and wrapped in a ssam (lettuce wrap) it's seriously good too, haha.

The pork jowl paired nicely with the doenjang jjigae from the side dishes, too, haha.

Bibim naengmyeon for ₩7,000: add broth and eat it like mul naengmyeon

The bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) at Hanmaeum Meat Restaurant Songdo Timespace branch is ₩7,000, and the broth comes separately. I ordered that too, haha. ₩7,000 is a kind price!

Partway through, you can pour in the broth and enjoy it like mul naengmyeon (cold noodles in broth), haha. Vinegar and mustard come with it too.

They grilled mushrooms for us and put the pork neck on as well, haha. They grilled the neck separately and cut it up for us, and the amount is really big!! There were only two of us and we were so full, haha.

Overall verdict on Hanmaeum Meat Restaurant Songdo Timespace branch

I grilled it well and ate it with the scallion jjolmyeon salad too. It was so, so good and I left full and happy!!! For the same weight, the amount of meat is honestly huge, haha.

No wonder it's so busy and popular: this is Hanmaeum, a Songdo BBQ spot, haha. The space is wide, so it's great for group gatherings, and the play room makes it perfect for bringing kids!
