Evening Songdo bakery run: corn panettone, morning rolls, Tomoru
In short
Tomoru Bakery (송도토모루베이커리) is a bakery in Songdo, Yeonsu, Incheon, on the ground floor of the building behind the Incheon Coast Guard, where a master baker bakes the bread every morning. On one of several evening revisits, every loaf except the chestnut loaf had sold out, so the writer picked 6 breads, including corn panettone, morning rolls, bacon potato salt bread and basil tomato, for a work lunch and to go with pasta. Tomoru Bakery is a bakery near Songdo Central Park where you can still find good meal breads and snack breads late in the day.

Where is Tomoru Bakery in Songdo?
Tomoru Bakery (송도토모루베이커리) is on the ground floor of the busy building behind the Incheon Coast Guard, right on the road in front of Poongnim I'Won Complex 2 apartments. If you're looking for a Songdo bakery with lots of variety, reliably good bread, and breads that work as a meal or a snack, this is the one I confidently recommend, and I'm back again!! Lots of cram schools are nearby, so it's the bakery you've definitely noticed every time you turn the corner.
- Hours: 08:30–21:30 (closes early when bread sells out)
- Up to 4 hours of parking in the building's lot
- Dine-in and takeout available
- Naver receipt review event running

The sign is huge and the red brick really stands out, so anyone hunting for a good Songdo bakery has probably spotted it. There are tables outdoors too, so you can eat your bread right after buying it!

Is there still bread left at Tomoru Bakery in the evening?
When I walked into Tomoru Bakery in the evening, a lot of the bread was already gone! It's not a big space, but there's bread on every wall and the center display was packed too. A master baker bakes the bread by hand every morning, so it's not factory-made, and the whole shop always smells of bread.

Organic flour, natural sourdough starter, AOP-certified butter, antibiotic-free eggs, no artificial additives: Tomoru Bakery, my Songdo Central Park-area bakery, has all the good stuff! Maybe that's why there are all kinds of certificates and commendations up on the wall showing off its credentials! Grab the bread you want with the tray, baking paper and tongs set out at the entrance.

There are also refrigerated items like cream castella and mini hamburgers, so there are breads that work like sandwiches as a quick meal. The mont blanc bread, which is especially good here, was stocked in good quantity too. Nice!!

I'm a big loaf bread fan, but for some reason that day everything was sold out except the chestnut loaf!!? Haha, sob. Making the best of it, I grabbed morning rolls and planned to eat them with pasta~~

How are Tomoru Bakery's ciabatta and salt bread?
The ciabatta at Tomoru Bakery is a BEST item. They say the dough is aged at low temperature for at least 18 hours and baked at its freshest every day, so it's very chewy yet easy on the stomach!! The salt bread also comes in upgraded flavors, from plain to potato and garlic.

They also had the butter tteok (butter rice cake) that was a huge trend until recently, and very big baguettes. Baguettes and other large breads get cut on the spot if you ask, so no worries!!

The 6 breads I picked that evening
Put all my picks on a plate, ask for takeout, and done. Here's what I got at Tomoru Bakery that day.
- Corn panettone
- Morning rolls
- Garlic cheese salt bread
- Bacon potato salt bread
- Royal soboro bread (streusel-topped bun)
- Basil tomato

A Songdo terrace bakery that also serves coffee
Tomoru Bakery isn't just takeout. It's a Songdo terrace bakery that also sells coffee and drinks at very reasonable prices, so it's great as a coffee stop on the go. There's a points program too, so it's a two-for-one if you like collecting points! They're also running a receipt review event, so you can get an Americano or iced tea, right!?

Is the bacon potato salt bread filling enough for lunch?
I took the bacon potato salt bread to work as a lunch substitute. It's wrapped in bacon outside and packed with potato inside, so even one is really filling, a solid little bread. Bacon and potato never miss in bread or pizza, so I highly recommend it!

Next up, the filling

What does Tomoru Bakery's corn panettone taste like?
Corn panettone is a traditional bread from Milan, Italy, and since it's a naturally fermented bread, I'd never picked it up before. It's packed full inside and drier than castella, so it's great with milk! Being fermented, it has a slightly sour aroma, but the portion is huge, so it's perfect for the whole family to share one, chatting away!

Signature bread: basil tomato
Basil tomato is one of Tomoru Bakery's well-loved signature items! It has fragrant basil pesto and big pieces of roasted tomato, with black olive and cheese flavors blending subtly, so it goes really well with coffee!

Garlic cheese salt bread and morning rolls with pasta
Another salt bread, the garlic cheese salt bread, has garlic and cheese flavor throughout, even subtly inside the bread, so it's nice to enjoy plain and simple!
The morning rolls I picked instead of loaf bread: eat what you need and put the rest in the freezer. Dunk them in the pasta sauce, top with cheese, and you get a hearty, indulgent bite. Enjoy the many breads of Tomoru Bakery!
