Hannam hair salon summer vintage perm and bangs for mom: ONLY FOR YOU

My mom said that since it's summer she wanted a perm that feels cool and light, so I went looking for a hair salon in Hannam. To help with her makeover, we booked a consultation and treatment with a designer at ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch, which is known by word of mouth in Hannam for styling hair beautifully. The result: mom looks much younger and cuter, a total makeover success! For anyone interested, I'll write up a detailed review.

ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch is at 70 Dokseodang-ro, Hyundai Liberty House 3F, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, a 7-minute walk from Hannam Station Exit 1. If you come by bus, get off at the Hannam bus stop and you can find it right away.

Driving is no worry either: I heard it's a salon of around 60 pyeong (about 200 m²) with free parking for 250 cars. There's plenty of space and free parking for up to 3 hours, so you can relax even during a long treatment.

Salon atmosphere and consultation

The white and beige interior feels clean and comfortable overall, and the space was wide and pleasant. Big windows let the sunlight in, so it never felt stuffy and was a nice place to stay throughout the treatment.

The staff greeted us with bright smiles and kindness from start to finish, so we could relax during the treatment. In particular, the designer who did this treatment carefully checked the points we wanted during the consultation and answered our questions professionally, which I was grateful for and made me trust her!

Treatment prices were clearly posted too, so we could have the consultation without pressure. When I asked about anything, they explained extra costs and the details of the treatment, which I liked.

Why a vintage perm was recommended for mom

After listening to mom's hair condition, face shape and concerns, the designer at ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch recommended a vintage perm. Mom's hair worries before the treatment were these:

The designer isn't just fast with her hands, she's really detailed too. She checked the baby hairs, the direction the curls would fall, even how to bring out the face line, and you could clearly see the finish getting better, which was amazing.

Vintage perm rod work and damage care

At ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch, they rolled the vintage perm rods carefully and took care to minimize hair damage throughout, which I was grateful for. Making sure the curls wouldn't look frizzy once they came out was a total satisfaction point.

How did the finished vintage perm turn out?

Ta-da! The vintage perm is done. Could a cut and a perm alone really make mom this lovely? Haha. After finishing, her hair was soft and silky, and it came out without damage.

She also taught us how to keep the curls longer and how to style at home, so it should be easy to manage even on busy days. That day the family each commented that the hair suits her and makes her look younger, so mom was completely satisfied.
