Hearty handmade burgers near Icheon City Hall: Gladyburger combo

Looking for a local favorite near Icheon City Hall? I visited Gladyburger in Jungri District, close to Icheon City Hall, the Icheon tax office and Termeden. Let's get straight into the review: house-made burger buns, handmade burgers packed with generous fresh ingredients, and Chili's whole mozzarella, which they say you can only taste in the US.

Gladyburger Icheon Jungri District: hours and parking

The Icheon Jungri District branch is open daily from 11:00 to 21:00, with last order at 20:30. You can reserve by phone, and there's a lot for up to 30 cars in the alley behind the convenience store on its right side.

If you drive, set your navigation to "Gladyburger" and you'll see a 7-Eleven. Turn into the alley right next to it and you can use this nice big parking lot.

How to get to Gladyburger from Icheon Station

Leave Icheon Station (Gyeonggang Line) by Exit 1, take a bus from the stop right in front, get off at Jeungil 1-tong stop, and it's a 3-minute walk toward City Hall.

They give a 10% discount on takeout orders via Naver, and Gladyburger has a "Excellent" food hygiene rating.

What are Gladyburger's interior and seating like?

The shop is fairly spacious, with tables for 1, 2 and 4 people. Turnover is quick too, so you don't have to wait long, which I liked.

The hip, colorful interior feels like an American burger joint! With Icheon so hot right now thanks to Hynix, it's nice to see more places that young people will like, the kind of MZ-generation (millennial and Gen Z) hotspots.

You order and pay easily at the kiosk at the entrance. You can also collect points, so it'd be great to become a regular, right?

What's at the self bar

Gladyburger also has a self bar with two kinds of house-made pickled onions, plus the items below.

Gladyburger is a real American-style handmade burger shop. They say the burgers are made with juicy, flavorful beef patties, European organic vegetables grown directly in Icheon, and a superfood grain teff bun that goes through a 5-hour process. Maybe that's why each bite tastes really fresh and filling, yet easy on the stomach.

The signature burger shares the shop's name: the Gladyburger, with a beef patty, bacon, avocado, tomato and a refreshing lemon mayo sauce, and it's the most popular item. Set menus come with generous sides, so order whatever suits you.

How were the Gladyburger combo and Chili's whole mozzarella?

I ordered the Gladyburger combo, a Classic Cheeseburger, Chili's whole mozzarella, a milkshake and a Coke Zero. You can choose the spice level for the Chili's whole mozzarella, and even the default level, Jin Ramyun mild-spicy level, had a definite kick.

I had no idea the combo would be this generous... they gave a plenty of french fries too, which I loved.

The signature Gladyburger

The Gladyburger has a beef patty, bacon, cheese, avocado, tomato and green lettuce, and the fillings are seriously generous!

I also thought it was a smart touch that they give you a silicone holder to make it easier to eat! If you want it even easier, you can use the hygiene gloves from the self bar, and I also recommend putting it on a plate and cutting it with a knife~

With the combo, the side portion is so big you could share one between two! Good value and generous portions, so if you're looking for a great handmade burger place in Icheon, definitely stop by Gladyburger!

I really love burger places with milkshakes... and I can't resist the fries + milkshake combo. There's fun in that sweet, salty, cold mix too.

With every bite of the Gladyburger you can fully taste the juice and aroma of the meat, and I loved the combination of soft avocado, the sauce that balances the flavors, fresh tomato and green lettuce! With handmade burgers I've often found the portion lacking, but Gladyburger is packed full and generous, so I was very satisfied.

Classic Cheeseburger

The Classic Cheeseburger adds American cheese and a tangy sriracha mayo sauce to a beef patty, and it really tastes like an original cheeseburger. Maybe because the bun itself is good, it's soft, and since the filling is classic, I'd recommend it to anyone craving a clean American-style burger.

The size is just right, but it's surprisingly chewy and filling while still sitting comfortably in the stomach, so cheeseburger lovers should definitely try it.

The must-order side: Chili's whole mozzarella

Chili's whole mozzarella is a side you absolutely have to order! It was my first time trying it and it was such a good choice. Crispy and spicy outside, and inside it's stuffed with whole mozzarella cheese, chewy and savory!!... Next time I visit, I'll definitely order the Chili's whole mozzarella again.
