Getting to Kkamon from Jeongja Station, and where to park

Kkamon Bundang Jeongja Direct Store is easy to reach since it's near both Jeongja Station and Migeum Station. It's a 10-minute walk from Jeongja Station Exit 3, and a 20-minute walk from Migeum Station Exit 8.

If you're driving, park at The Sharp Star Park commercial building garage — you get 2 hours free parking with a purchase. Parking is usually tough around Jeongja Station, but eating at Kkamon makes it easy, and with that much free parking time, it's also convenient to swing by a café afterward.

The exterior of this Jeongja Station favorite looks just like an actual restaurant in Vietnam. Looking at just this, it's Vietnam itself.

The inside isn't huge, but the Southeast Asian-style interior is pretty and clean. There are window seats and 4-person tables, so it works for solo dining, office lunches, and family meals alike.

It's an open kitchen, so you can see the food being cooked, which made it feel hygienic.

Is there a wait at Kkamon at 1pm on a Saturday?

I went around 1pm on a Saturday, and not long after I got in, the place was completely full. If I'd come a bit later, I might have had to wait! This is an office-worker area — Naver's headquarters is nearby — so weekday lunches always have a line. That's why I deliberately went on the weekend, but it's just as busy then too. Seems like word's already out that this is the pho spot near Jeongja Station.

How does the 11,000-won Kkamon pho taste?

The Kkamon pho is the basic pho, but it's listed as the best-seller, so I gave it a try.

At ₩11,000 it's cheap, but there's a lot of noodles and a generous heap of brisket on top — really great value! The broth tasted deep too, like it had been simmered for a long time.

There are sauces on the table to add to your taste. Personally, I go for sriracha over hoisin!

Are the new crab nem (crab spring rolls, 4 pieces) worth ordering?

I originally planned to order chả giò (fried spring rolls) as a side, but since the crab spring rolls were listed as new, I got curious and tried them instead.

Look at how packed the cross-section is. There's no meat in the crab spring rolls, so I'd recommend them to vegetarians.

I dipped it in the sauce that came with it and took a bite — the thin fried shell shattered crisp, and the crab, mushroom, and glass noodle filling filled my mouth with a gentle sweetness and umami. Crispy outside, moist inside, seriously amazing... 👏👏

The pho was great, but this was my first time trying the crab spring rolls, and they had a totally different appeal from chả giò — delicious in their own way.

Final verdict: who should eat at Kkamon Jeongja?

Kkamon Bundang Jeongja Direct Store is a great pho restaurant near Jeongja Station. It's located in an office district, so it would be really good for nearby office workers for lunch or dinner.

If you're looking for hangover food the day after a work dinner, hot pho is perfect! And if you're craving good pho, I'd definitely recommend Kkamon!
