Icheon Korean BBQ near the terminal: garlic beef ribs at Yuksik Wang

I’m not far from giving birth now. I was wondering where would be famous and delicious for a nice, nourishing meat meal, and after thinking it over, I chose Yuksik Wang (육식왕), haha. This place shows up all over Instagram too!! Yuksik Wang in Icheon was right near Icheon Terminal, in the center of town!!! The location was so good that it was easy to find, too!

Where should you park for Yuksik Wang in Icheon?

It’s convenient to use the Icheon Terminal public parking lot! The street public parking is free from 6 p.m. on weekdays until 9 a.m. the next day, as well as on weekends and public holidays. The Haneulae Korean Medicine Hospital and Grand Wedding Hall parking lots offer a two-hour parking voucher. On Thursday evening, there were no spaces at the terminal public lot, so we parked at the Grand Wedding Hall lot instead~

How to get three free menu items

If you reserve in advance through Naver before visiting, you can get free chicken neck meat. For the pork skin, ask the staff for the receipt before paying, or get it after payment, then leave a review by verifying the receipt in the Naver Map app.

Inside Yuksik Wang, with space for group gatherings

Yuksik Wang had group tables as well as tables for four. When we went, there were families dining together and people having company dinners, too. It seems perfect for a family meal out or a get-together with friends.

The basic side dishes included myeongi namul (pickled wild garlic leaves), seasoned scallion strips, pickled onions, sweet corn, napa cabbage kimchi, and more—all great with meat! My husband got so excited the moment he saw the sweet corn, hahaha. Ah, cute. We finished it quickly and got one refill!

How were the mountain of marinated Wagyu beef ribs?

The signature dish here is definitely the mountain of marinated Wagyu beef ribs!! The presentation is seriously the best! These garlic beef ribs piled high with garlic are Yuksik Wang’s signature menu. The garlicky flavor and tender beef ribs are insanely good. They were ₩69,000!

They grill them over charcoal until beautifully browned, and the smell is so good... We thought two people wouldn’t possibly finish a whole platter, but we did? Hahahaha. Such big eaters.

Even on its own, it’s nicely seasoned from the garlic marinade, and I seriously loved the garlic aroma.. It just melts in your mouth!!!! It’s also a great combination with wasabi. But I think I liked it better plain!

Bubbling-hot doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew)! You can never skip that when you’re eating meat_. The fluffy steamed egg was so soft! And it was free~

Han-don kimchi jjigae (Korean pork kimchi stew) loaded with meat!! With lots of kimchi and Korean pork, it was spicy and refreshing! You have to mix rice into it, haha. It was nice because it cut through the richness of the meat.

Review-event pork skin

The pork skin we got for joining the review event!! They give you two pieces, and they’re huge! They were chewy and tender, with no tough parts at all. They bring curry powder and soybean powder, and dipping it in them makes it extra delicious~

In conclusion

The basic side dishes were tasty too, but especially the beef ribs were really delicious. I could understand why the owner’s 20 years of meat experience are such a big deal. If you’re looking for great beef ribs near Icheon Terminal, you absolutely have to visit Yuksik Wang!! Guaranteed delicious👍🏻
