Nowon sushi buffet 90-minute weekend time limit and hot dogs: Kuu Kuu

Cheers~~ Went back to Kuu Kuu after a while. This place is famous as a family-gathering restaurant in Nowon! I didn't notice last time, but this visit I saw they have a playroom set up almost like a kids' café — looks great for all kinds of gatherings! Obviously not as big as an actual kids' café, but there weren't as many kids inside as I expected, so it looked like a decent spot to let them play.

Writing this post now, I realize it's September 9th! They run a once-a-year 9,000 won discount event on this date too, so that's a great opportunity. ✨️ Chomp chomp, so good.

Where is Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, and what are the hours?

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is on the 6th floor of 247 Nowon-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul. It's open weekdays from 11am to 9:30pm, weekends from 11am to 10pm, and Naver reservations are available.

At Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, a 90-minute time limit applies when there's a waiting line. I always visit on weekends when there's a wait, and every time I end up getting up before the 90 minutes are even over. Seriously, so full 🤔

Kuu Kuu Nowon prices and parking

Weekday lunch 27,900 / weekday dinner 31,900 / weekend and holidays 35,900. Elementary school students 16,900 / 17,900 / 18,900, preschoolers 9,900 won. 2 hours free parking in the building, and if it's full, 4 hours free at Hagye Techno Town.

This is my third weekend visit, and the basement lot has always been full. If you're visiting on a weekend, I'd say just head straight to Hagye Techno Town to park with peace of mind from the start 🤔 haha. Hagye Techno Town has plenty of parking space.

Inside a buffet hall of more than 300 pyeong

No wonder it's famous as a Nowon family-gathering restaurant! A huge space with 400+ seats total, and group seating for 50, 80, up to a maximum of 300 people! For class reunions, Nowon family gatherings, anniversaries, work dinners — there's nowhere else quite like this in terms of both price and space. 😃

Unlimited draft beer for 5,900 won if you leave a Naver review 💚 Ah, this is when it feels unfair not to drink haha. My husband was driving so he couldn't drink 🫠 haha. Not cheap beer either — Kelly and Terra poured cold and fresh from a dedicated beer dispenser!

What's on the Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch menu?

So many different Kuu Kuu menu items. It's been two months since my last visit and it's still packed with delicious food. With prices these days having gone up so much, I think Kuu Kuu is probably the best option at this price point 🤔

Various sushi, rolls and gunkan, salmon and halibut cut even bigger than before, botan shrimp sushi 🩷 and beyond that, duck barbecue, cheese beef, eel roll, freshwater eel and more. In particular, the no-way raw salmon sashimi used to only appear on weekends, holidays and weekday dinners, but now you can try it at weekday lunch too.

Mala shrimp / chili shrimp with candied sauce / gwabaro (sweet and sour pork) / lemon cream shrimp, braised pork belly / flower buns with pepper and shredded pork / vegetable tempura / crab meat tempura / kimmari (seaweed roll tempura), sweet potato tempura / wing bong / fried potatoes / hot dogs / cheese sticks. Yogurt comes in blueberry and plain! And here, the new lamb chop dish was my husband's pick 😋🌻 Always available to try.

Who eats hot dogs at a buffet? Well, that's my department. Genuinely so good ㅠㅠ. Apparently there was tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) too, but there was so much variety I couldn't get to it. 😃

I hadn't even had the salmon yet, but why is it so good these days! So fresh!

My husband went straight for the ube latte the moment we walked in! Along with all kinds of carbonated drinks, various teas, plum tea, juice and more.

Hot dogs and the dessert counter

I like dessert more than the mains, so this made me happy 😊 Rice cakes, pudding, bakery cakes. Since there are so many people, the turnover of food is fast, which is great, and staff refilled things the moment they ran low.
