Today is my glow-up day~ It had been a while, so I went here and there to properly pamper myself. Don’t you think women feel better when we get all prettied up like this once in a while? Haha

Since I have monolids, overly dramatic lashes feel a little intimidating, but I wanted that naturally defined look. So I searched hard and came here: Moodmoa Lash & Brow (무드모아 래쉬&브로우), a great eyelash extension salon in Dongtan.

Weeknight appointments and parking

Just a note: they are closed on weekends, but you can book until 8 p.m. on weekdays, so keep that in mind if you plan to visit!

Parking was super easy, too. You can park in front of the salon, and there is also a public parking lot nearby with 90 minutes free, so go ahead without parking worries haha. I visited on a weekday, and it was perfect for getting a treatment after work.

A cozy, tidy salon

Inside, everything was so neat and tidy. It is a small space, but every detail was well organized, and true to the salon’s name, it felt like a space full of mood, so I could relax during the treatment haha. It was cozy yet clean, and I personally loved this kind of atmosphere.

A 9–10 mm consultation tailored to my eyes

They offer a range of treatments, from lash lifts to eyelash extensions. Best of all, the owner, who has 10 years of experience, performs the treatments herself, so I felt I could trust her!

And!!! The consultation was so thorough, which I loved haha. I explained the look I wanted, discussed it with her, and we decided on 9–10 mm extensions!

To be honest, I do not really know much about lengths lol, so I pretty much asked the owner to decide. She naturally recommended what suited my eye shape, and I trusted her with it.

My monolid eyes before the treatment

Maybe because I have monolids, lashes do not tend to show much even when I get them done. You can see it in the photos lol—see how my eyes look droopy and lifeless...? How much could eyelash extensions alone change them?! I was so curious too lol. Let me show you right away how my eyes turned out.

A natural result in 1 hour 20 minutes, consultation included

The result was genuinely so natural and pretty!! My eyes are on the longer side, so if the lashes are applied too heavily, my eyes can look cramped and overdone. But the owner made them look perfectly natural without overdoing them, tailored to my eye shape!

They did not feel burdensome on my monolid eyes, yet my eye shape looked more defined. They were exactly the “natural lashes that look like you barely had anything done” that I wanted, so I was completely satisfied haha.

You really cannot dismiss 10 years of experience! From the length to the curl, she made everything look naturally perfect for my eye shape, and I thought, no wonder she has 10 years of experience haha. Even on my monolid, longer-shaped eyes, the result was not overdone at all and looked defined, so I was very satisfied.

Aftercare guidance for eyelash extensions

She also explained the aftercare precautions thoroughly. She said it is best to delay washing your face as much as possible on the day of the treatment, and not to use mascara or an eyelash curler! She also told me that it is especially best to avoid oil-based products after getting extensions haha.

At the end, the owner even gave me a cute turtle-shaped eyelash brush!! You know how turtles are said to bring luck and good energy haha. I was oddly happy about her thoughtful touch of including something this cute.

I recommend Moodmoa Lash & Brow to anyone with monolids or anyone who feels overly dramatic lashes are too much! I was truly happy with how naturally they suited my eye shape. It is somewhere I would love to visit again haha.
