If you're looking for a good Chinese restaurant in Haeundae, I recommend Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch. The nice thing about Bueokgan is that you can do a full meal and also hit up a café and bakery all in one place. This time I visited with my family. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Parking and access

One reason I love Bueokgan is that parking is so convenient — there's a parking lot, and even when it's full you can park right on the road out front, so access is really easy. Parking around Haeundae or Dalmaji is genuinely rough.

When you're out with family or friends, parking always limits where you can eat, but with Bueokgan you don't have to worry about that at all!! It's also close to Haeundae Station and not far from Dalmaji, Jangsan Station, and Jungdong Station, so tourists can visit without much hassle.

My friends kept telling me Bueokgan's Chinese food was good, so I'd been meaning to go, and I finally got the chance. Here's my review of Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch.

What was the atmosphere like?

This seems to be a Bueokgan trademark — a clean, tidy space. I've been to Bueokgan's bakery and their Western/Chinese location too, and every single time it's been spotless with really kind staff.

Maybe that's why people bring family or use it for important gatherings so often. Chinese restaurants are also great for hosting guests!!! I have a lot of friends from out of town and my in-laws live far away too, so my husband and I even talked about bringing his parents or my out-of-town friends here next time — it was that clean and the food was that good.

Remember how I said Bueokgan feels clean overall? There's also sofa seating, which is great when a big family comes, and comfortable for households with kids too.

Four dishes: ganjjajang, sweet and sour pork, nakji deopbap, jjamppong

Now let me introduce the food. We ordered a bit of everything — ganjjajang, sweet and sour pork, nakji deopbap, and jjamppong. Even though it was a weeknight evening, there were quite a lot of customers. Guess it's true that a good restaurant doesn't care what day or time it is?!!!

Even the sweet and sour pork looks amazing just from these photos, right? My husband especially is a jjamppong fanatic (shh). But even I thought the jjamppong broth was really delicious.

The jjajang had an overall slightly sweet taste — good for anyone who likes sweeter flavors! The jjamppong broth was rich and thick, so if you like a heavy broth, I highly recommend it.

Let me take a bite... and the sweet and sour pork had that crispy-outside, tender-inside texture!!! The sauce wasn't watery either, it was a bit thick and delicious.

And the jjamppong too... couldn't resist ordering soju right then. Haha hahaha^^ㅡㅡ^^

You can tell just by looking that the sauce is thick, right? You have to order the sweet and sour pork!!! Scream it with me~~~

I also took a photo to show you the jjamppong broth I mentioned. Plenty of toppings too. The meat-based broth is so rich~~ makes me want to go back just for the jjamppong.

Nakji deopbap: smoky flavor instead of spicy heat

Next up, nakji deopbap (spicy octopus over rice). It had an overall sweet-ish flavor too, so even people who can't handle spicy food should be fine. The smoky wok-hei flavor was insane...... I kept thinking, how do they get that smoky flavor so perfectly?

Shake shake, mix it up, and take a bite... one bite for me, one for hubby... it was so good.

Why I'd recommend it for family meals or dates

Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch is great for family meals and just as good for couples on a date. The food was delicious and varied enough that we could enjoy it comfortably. If you're looking for good Chinese food in Haeundae, Bueokgan Chinese Haeundae Branch is my pick.
