Toowoomba shrimp & pepperoni half-half pizza, Pizza E Michida Konkuk

Today I visited a place any pizza lover would be happy with — a Konkuk pizza spot worth knowing about. It's not just pizza, either; you can drink beer and soju here too, so it worked perfectly as a dinner-and-drinks spot.

Finding it from Konkuk University Station

This time I visited Pizza E Michida, a place near Konkuk where you can enjoy pizza and drinks together. It's close to Konkuk University Station, so it's easy to get to, and it's a great spot to grab dinner with friends and have a light drink at the same time.

What I especially liked was not having to move on to a second bar after pizza — you can wrap up dinner and drinks all in one place, haha.

What's the interior vibe like?

Walking in, the deep teal walls and warm lighting catch your eye first.

Wooden tables, brick, and arched decor come together for an overall European pub feel.

It's casual but still has atmosphere, so it works well for a date or a gathering with friends, and every table has its own small warmer so you can keep the pizza warm while you eat.

The basic side dish is nachos! They even have hot sauce and parmesan powder on hand ><

Menu & the half-and-half combo

There's a wide range of pizzas here, so it's fun just picking. I couldn't settle on just one flavor, so I went with a half-and-half pizza!

My combo was toowoomba potato shrimp + pepperoni bolognese. You can also choose a cream cheese dip to go with the pizza, so I picked green onion cream cheese. For a side, I also ordered sotteok-sotteok tteokbokki.

The pizza itself — genuinely satisfying

Even just visually, the toppings were generous and the cheese was piled on well, which I liked. Most of all, the crust wasn't dry — it was crispy and had a nutty, savory flavor.

Dipping the pizza lightly in the green onion cream cheese added a nutty, smooth flavor — that was a real treat too. Pizza is best hot, and since the warmth held up while eating, I could enjoy it deliciously right to the last slice.

Toowoomba potato shrimp

What I liked best was the toowoomba! It has plump shrimp in a slightly spicy cream sauce, and the sauce was generous, rich, and delicious.

The soft cream flavor with a subtle spiciness kept it from feeling too heavy, and the shrimp were plump enough to give a good bite too 👍

Pepperoni bolognese

The pepperoni bolognese had a salty, slightly spicy kick from the pepperoni, so even with lots of cheese it didn't feel greasy.

The toppings and sauce worked well together — exactly the flavor you want with beer!

Side dish: sotteok-sotteok tteokbokki, plus drinks

Since pizza alone felt like not quite enough, I ordered the sotteok-sotteok tteokbokki too, and it was tasty.

Chewy rice cakes and Vienna sausages come topped with cheese, and the sweet sauce paired well with the pizza. So if you're looking for a bar near Konkuk University Station where you can also get a proper meal, this seems like a good spot.

Final thoughts

I went in without big expectations since it's a pub that happens to serve pizza, but the pizza quality was so much better than I thought — I left satisfied.

The generous toppings, plenty of cheese, and crispy, savory crust all came together deliciously, and the toowoomba potato shrimp especially hit my exact taste 🫶

If you want pizza and pasta together, I'd recommend a Konkuk Western-style pasta place; if you want pizza and drinks together with lots of menu options, Pizza E Michida Konkuk is a great pick! A solid recommendation for a Konkuk bar to eat and drink comfortably with friends.
