Some days feel special not because anything extraordinary happens, but just because the walk together is nice and the food is good. Today I strolled slowly around Konkuk University Station and had a long, chatty date over a warm pizza.

It's close enough to reach in about 5 minutes even walking slowly from Exit 1 of Konkuk University Station. With the weather turning noticeably cooler lately, it was lovely to sit at the terrace tables out front and enjoy dinner in the breeze. The lively Konkuk vibe made it a great spot for a casual date too~~

What's the interior like?

Walking in, the first thing I noticed was how spacious and pleasant the interior was — bigger than I expected. The clean, stylish decor made it comfortable to eat, and the soft ambience added to the feeling that it's a great date spot. If you're looking for a good-vibe date restaurant in Konkuk, this is worth a visit haha

Ordering was done by scanning the QR code at the table, browsing the menu at your own pace, and placing your order easily. No need to flag down a staff member — you can order comfortably right from your seat!!

The menu had all kinds of pizzas, including a half-and-half option so you can pick two flavors to suit your taste. There were also plenty of side dishes to pair with the pizza, so a group can each enjoy their own thing — I'd also recommend it if you're looking for Western-style pasta in Konkuk! Cold draft beer was available too, perfect alongside a slice of pizza!!

Complimentary nachos, pickles, and garlic dipping sauce

After ordering, a short wait later they brought out nachos, pickles, and, essential to any pizza, garlic dipping sauce. The crispy nachos were a nice appetizer and the tangy pickles cut through the richness of the pizza, so I kept reaching for them even before the main dish arrived.

After a short wait, the half-and-half pizza we ordered finally arrived!! It sits over a gentle flame under the pan, so it stayed warm the whole time and I got to enjoy every last slice at its best. What really stood out was how generous the toppings were — arugula and all kinds of ingredients piled on without holding back, making it look absolutely delicious haha

Arugula garlic shrimp

First I tried the arugula garlic shrimp side. The savory crust paired with plump shrimp and fragrant arugula made for a rich, full flavor in every bite. A gentle garlicky kick blended with the salty, smooth cheese, and one slice naturally led to wanting another!!

Cream mushroom bacon

Next I tried the cream mushroom bacon side. The smooth, savory cream sauce spread richly through my mouth, combined with chewy mushrooms and salty bacon for a deeper, fuller flavor. The creaminess of the sauce paired well with the salty bacon for a taste that was light yet quietly addictive! The chewy texture of the mushrooms gave it a different charm from the arugula garlic shrimp side 🍕 Officially a solid pizza spot near Konkuk University Station~~

Dip the crust in blueberry cream cheese

I dipped the crust into the blueberry cream cheese that came with it, and the savory, plain crust paired with the sweet, smooth blueberry cream cheese made it feel almost like eating dessert! The sweet-tart blueberry flavor surprisingly went well with the pizza, so I ended up finishing the crust down to the last bit!!

Mentaiko cream arancini from the review event

Then the mentaiko cream arancini from the review event showed up!! Can you believe something with this good a look and taste is actually a free review-event item ㅠㅠ The crispy-fried arancini was coated generously in mentaiko cream, and just looking at it made my mouth water. Way more quality than you'd expect from a freebie.

Dipping the crispy arancini generously into the mentaiko cream, the outside was crunchy and the inside moist, with the salty umami of mentaiko and the smooth cream sauce filling my mouth with rich, savory flavor. The crispy texture paired with the thick, savory mentaiko cream, and it went really well eaten between bites of pizza too.

Cutting the arancini open revealed melted, savory cheese and seasoned rice packed inside. The chewy cheese and umami-rich seasoned rice, combined with the salty, smooth mentaiko cream, made for a combo where the savory umami really came alive.

Wrap-up

Overall, this was a place where I enjoyed everything from the pizza to the sides. Generously topped pizza kept warm the whole time, plus unique touches like the blueberry cream cheese and mentaiko cream arancini made it even better. Best of all, the clean, good-vibe interior plus terrace tables make it a great spot for a date on a nice day!!
