Stepping inside, a huge window pouring in light caught my eye right away. Sitting by the window, the warm sunlight wrapped around me and warmed up my body, which had gone cold from the air conditioning.

You order through a kiosk. I wanted to fully experience this place's deep, honest coffee flavor, so I picked an americano, and paired it with a milk bingsu (shaved ice dessert) to cool down from the heat of walking over.

In front of the bakery corner, I fell into serious deliberation (?) between the sweet, nutty kaya toast and the crispy-outside-tender-inside egg tart, and ended up going with the egg tart to finish my order.

Here, you enter your table number on the kiosk when ordering, and staff bring the food out — I got everything I ordered served together on one tray, generously.

The milk bingsu's mounded look caught my eye right away. Looking at it, it seemed light and fluffy like falling snowflakes, but when I scooped up a big spoonful, I found a texture that was quite dense and rich.

The moment it hit my mouth it melted right away, spreading a rich, nutty milk flavor throughout, with a subtly sweet finish that never got tiring.

Instead of an artificially strong sweetness, the nutty flavor took center stage, making it a bingsu dessert that was clean and refreshing to enjoy.

Decaf americano, 4,900 won: pour the shot over ice yourself

I understood immediately, from the very first sip, why this café's coffee had gotten so much praise. It's genuinely hard to find delicious decaf coffee, but here, the aroma and overall balance were great.

On the first sip, I got a rich, sweet-and-bittersweet dark chocolate-like aroma, and after swallowing, a nutty pecan-like aftertaste lingered pleasantly in my mouth for a long time — really charming.

True to a place that values the customer's experience, Wonz Coffee serves the coffee shot separately in a small container, so I got the small pleasure of pouring it into the ice-filled glass myself. Being able to adjust the amount of shot to find the exact strength I liked made it even more satisfying.

Egg tart, 3,500 won: crackling pastry with soft cream inside

The egg tart I tried last was truly something else. This café's egg tart has an unusually crackly, crisp pastry shell texture.

Behind the crispness of the thin, layered pastry, the egg custard filling inside was so soft it jiggled and wobbled.

With one bite, the outside crackled while the inside melted away softly like pudding, and the rich, sweet flavor of the egg custard wrapped around my whole mouth.
