In short
Bueokgan Sangmu Branch is an Italian restaurant in Seo-gu, Gwangju, serving pasta, wood-fired pizza, and wine. We ordered sweet pumpkin soup, jambon pizza, and basil pesto cream pasta à la carte, with prices from ₩8,000 to ₩24,000. It had been ages since I’d seen my friend^^~ Since we don’t get to see each other just anywhere, I looked for somewhere pretty and found Bueokgan Sangmu Branch! I’d gone when it was in Dongmyeong-dong and Pungam-dong before, but I guess those locations are gone now…! I liked itㅠㅠ Such a shame, such a shame. Still, I’m soooo glad there’s a Sangmu Branch that’s even prettier and full of atmosphere💗
Bueokgan Sangmu Branch hours and location
Open daily 11:00–22:00.
A 30-minute break time is amazing lol. I think it’s because it’s a restaurant that also runs as a café!!! The break is short and it’s open every day, so the real advantage is that you can visit whenever you want!
It’s not in the main part of Sangmu District, so it’s quiet and sooo nice. It’s right by the road, making it easy to find, and especially! The route connects to my house, so it was super, super convenient for me haha.
Parking lot and exterior

There’s a parking lot like this, so parking was soooo easy!!!!! Restaurants with parking lots really are the best👍👍👍 Park and head upstairs~

There it is on the first floor: Bueokgan, a great pasta spot in Sangmu District!

So classy~

Left

Right. There’s a terrace too! Since it also operates as a café, I think you could enjoy that outdoor vibe when the weather is nice haha.
Atmospheric interior and tables
The inside has even better vibes haha.

Here too

Here too, such lovely vibes~ If you like pretty restaurants, definitely go go to Bueokgan Sangmu Branch!
When you go in,

there are tables further in on the left,

and more tables to the right!

You can see the kitchen well from the tables too~
Ordering soup and pizza à la carte
There are set meals too, but we wanted soup and pizza, so we ordered à la carte haha.

Starters~ soup, salad

Pasta~ There’s a wide range, all the way through risotto, pilaf, and lasagna!
And steak and pizza! They sell lots of drinks too, and alcohol! Especially wine—there are lots of varieties, so it would be even nicer paired with wine haha.

They’re also running a receipt review event! Couldn’t miss that~ If you pay first, you can take part in the review event haha.
A present from my friend while we were ordering~ >_<

Eek, Porori is happy~~~ She even picked a four-leaf clover herself to give me—seriously the best friend🥰❤️ Thank youuu haha. I was soooo happy to get the Jellycat bunny I couldn’t find in Guam from my friend!!!

Sweet pumpkin soup and jambon pizza
Even Bueokgan’s cutlery is full of atmosphere haha. When you order a drink, they give you an ice cup too!!!👍👍 Sweet pumpkin soup ₩8,000

The sweet pumpkin soup was a must-try menu item!

So thick and rich, so thick and rich!!👍 Serving it into the cute individual soup cups lol. So cute hahahaha.
Jambon pizza ₩24,000

I thought it would taste like the jambon pizza I already knew, but no no no no, not at all lol. The first bite was seriously delicious. The pistachios sprinkled over the pizza were truly the kick!
It was cut nicely, so it was easy to take a slice too haha.

Looks good, right? It’s the kind of wood-fired pizza I like haha.
Basil pesto cream pasta topped with a poached egg
Basil pesto cream pasta ₩18,000

This little thing is something else haha. It’s loaded, loaded with basil flavor!! My J friend had looked it up beforehand and recommended it as a must-eat menu item too lol.
Definitely add the poached egg^^! Stir the yolk into the cream pasta and it’s heaven on earth. It’s a great pasta spot in Sangmu District, so even the poached egg quality is nice.
There’s also the fun of breaking the yolk^^~! The flavor gets upgraded another level too~! Once you taste it, you’ll agree it’s a great pasta place in Sangmu District~!

Our finished spread~ We ate it all so happily haha. And the extra item we got from the receipt review event!

This had pistachios sprinkled on it too. They must like pistachios haha. Thanks to that, the flavor was even richer!!!👍👍👍
A dinner packed full of absolutely delicious food! I was so full, and it was such a happy time haha👍 It was so nice to spend time with a friend I hadn’t seen in ages at a restaurant with such a good atmosphere, but now we said we’d meet after I give birth ㅠㅠ lol. Ah^^ My due date is coming up lol. Half worried, half excited~ Until then, I should get out and about finding tasty places like Bueokgan!!!ㅎㅅㅎ
