Suwon restaurant date with bisque rosé pasta: Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot

On a Sunday evening weekend date in Haenggung-dong, we visited Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot (논샬랑라운지) 🤍 After dinner, it happened to be the night-opening period for Hwaseong Haenggung Palace, so we went to see the palace in the evening too. A delicious dinner followed by a walk around the palace in the cool evening air made for such a great course :)”

The moment I stepped into Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot, I loved it because the interior was so pretty. Rather than a typical restaurant, it felt a little like a stylish concept store? The decorative objects and furniture were thoughtfully placed throughout, and the polished atmosphere made it great for photos too. Soft sunlight streamed through the large windows in particular, and the mood was truly lovely ☀️ The staff were also incredibly kind, so I felt happy throughout the meal.

We ordered the bisque rosé pasta, chuck flap steak platter with butter garlic rice, grapefruit ade, and lemon ade!

We ordered grapefruit ade and lemon ade, and they were so pretty from the moment they arrived that I couldn’t not take photos 🍋🍊 They were not just pretty to look at—they were refreshing and cool, and really nice alongside the food.

They paired so well with the meal too :) And now, the long-awaited main dishes…!!

How was the bisque rosé pasta?

Personally, this was one of the dishes that stayed with me most from that day! The rich, nutty flavor distinctive to bisque went so well with the rosé sauce, and the slight spiciness kept me coming back for more. It was not overly spicy or intense, though—just pleasantly spicy, which made it even tastier. Above all, the sauce was seriously good, so even after finishing the pasta, I scraped up every last bit because I didn’t want to leave it behind… haha. I really want to recommend it to anyone who loves pasta with delicious sauce! Next up… the steak review :!

The meat was delicious, but the pairing with the butter garlic rice we ordered was especially good. A bite of steak with the butter garlic rice added nutty, savory-salty rice to the flavor of the meat, and they went together beautifully. If you order the steak, I recommend getting the butter garlic rice too! From the pasta and steak to the butter garlic rice and ades, everything was satisfying, so we finished dinner in a really happy mood. Then after eating, we went to see the Hwaseong Haenggung Palace night opening 🌙

It had a completely different atmosphere from seeing the palace during the day. The illuminated palace was much prettier than I expected, and its different mood made it fun to look around. Above all, it was far cooler than during the day, making it perfect for a leisurely walk. After filling up on a delicious dinner, walking one lap around the palace helped us digest too, and it was so nice haha.

When you want delicious food somewhere with a beautiful atmosphere, especially if you are looking for a Haenggung-dong date course, I’d like to recommend Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot. The interior was so stylish and pretty, the food was delicious, and the staff were kind—I was personally very satisfied 🤍 The bisque rosé pasta in particular was so good that I scraped up every last bit of sauce, so please do try it!
