Pizza slices near Isu Station, Dongjak: Raymond

I had something to do near Isu Station, then stopped by Raymond for lunch. It was different from the pizza places you commonly see, you know? You can choose from huge pizza slices, so it was a great spot for lunch near Isu Station.

How long does it take to get from Isu Station to Raymond?

Raymond, a lunch spot near Isu Station, is about a 5-minute walk from the station. Being so close made it easy to visit by public transport, and it also seemed like a nice place for lunch when you have plans nearby.

A casual pizza shop with an international feel

The atmosphere hit me as soon as I walked in—it felt quite international. Rather than an ordinary neighborhood pizza place, it felt like stepping into a casual pizza shop abroad ••

It was casual but still had atmosphere, so it would be lovely for an easy meal with friends. It also seemed suitable for a date near Isu Station, a company dinner, or a group gathering!

And the thing that stood out most at Raymond was the display case filled with enormous pizzas. They were much bigger than usual—if you love pizza, I recommend stopping by at least once! Seeing them in person, I was shocked because they were so, so much bigger than they looked in photos, haha.

There was also a self-service bar on one side of the restaurant. It was convenient to help yourself to anything you needed while eating 🫶🏻

Choose what you want by the slice

Looking over the menu, there was quite a variety of pizzas. From classic options to choices with distinctive toppings, it was easy to pick according to your taste 🤤 Especially since you can order by the slice, you can have just one when dining alone, or a group can each order a different flavor—so good 🫶🏻 They also had sides such as pasta and beer, beyond pizza.

Bacon Hawaiian and Spicy Fusilli pizza

We ordered two kinds of pizza by the slice.

But when the pizzas arrived, I was surprised all over again •• One slice was so much bigger than a typical slice from most pizza places??????? It was even bigger than an adult man's hand, so the portion felt pretty substantial when it first came out.

First, I tried the Bacon Hawaiian Pizza. The pineapple's sweetness came through first, then the salty bacon popped up here and there, so that sweet-and-salty combination really worked 🫶🏻

The second one was the slightly unusual Spicy Fusilli 🍕 Just as its name suggests, it was topped with fusilli pasta, so it looked unique from the moment I saw it!

It had a spicy kick, so it was great to alternate it with something sweet like the Bacon Hawaiian Pizza. Rather than choosing only one of the two, I recommend ordering different styles and sharing them 🤍

Adding tomato spaghetti and dark beer

✔️ Tomato Spaghetti - ₩12,900. Pizza alone felt like it wouldn't be enough, so we also ordered tomato spaghetti as a side. The tomato sauce had that distinct tanginess, which made it nice to have between bites of pizza ••

Having pasta alongside it made lunch feel even more filling. For a date or a visit with several people, I think it would be nice to share a few pizza slices plus one side 🫶🏻

And we had a glass of dark beer with the pizza, too! The nutty, slightly full-bodied dark beer went surprisingly well with the pizza??????? We visited at lunch, but adding beer made it feel like we'd popped into a pizza place abroad 🤤
