Avocado and chicken breast poke salad lunch near Gyodae Station: Olla

In short

Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch is a poke and salad restaurant a 3-minute walk from Exit 14 of Gyodae Station in Seocho, Seoul. Over lunch the writer ordered an avocado poke salad and a chicken breast poke salad, chose between a salad-only base or a half rice-half salad base, and enjoyed free coffee from the coffee bar. With bar seating available, it's a great spot for a light, easy solo lunch.

Salad is something I have to eat regularly!! So I went to get some~~ If you're looking for a light, clean lunch near Gyodae Station!

I've been here quite a few times, and every time it's delicious and the staff are so kind that it just puts me in a good mood. Since the Gyodae Station area has a lot of busy office workers, there are plenty of people eating alone, so even if you're dining solo it never feels awkward — you can eat comfortably. I wrote up the exact location, the vibe of the place, and my review of the avocado poke salad and chicken breast poke salad I had today, so let's go through it together^^

Location — 3-minute walk from Exit 14 of Gyodae Station

It's tucked into an alley just a few minutes' walk from the subway exit. Public transit access is convenient, and the route is very efficient whether you're coming or going for a meal^^ Let's head in~

Store atmosphere and seating

I went during lunchtime and, sure enough, it was packed! The interior has a stylish, modern vibe. White and orange tones blend together throughout, giving the space a bright, cheerful feel. There's plenty of bar seating and tables for two, so solo diners can settle in comfortably without worrying about anyone's eyes on them.

Next to it is a self-service corner with various usage tips written up, and to the left of the entrance there's a coffee bar — and this is genuinely great service, because you don't feel like you're missing out even without ordering a drink separately. Sodas cost extra, but coffee is free, so it's nice to be able to enjoy it without worry.

You can choose your base to your taste on the menu. Half oat brown rice and salad, or salad only — freely combine according to how you feel that day or your diet goals.

Avocado poke salad

Our order came out.

The avocado salad looks pretty from the start, piled generously with ripe avocado^^ The soft, nutty flavor of the avocado blends with the crunchy salad vegetables to give a mouthful of healthy freshness. The base vegetables are also very fresh, and the mix of toppings — chickpeas, corn, crispy onion — gives excellent texture. The crunchy crispy onion in particular adds a savory richness to what could otherwise be a plain healthy dish. Add the recommended dressing that pairs well with avocado, and you can finish the whole bowl cleanly without any greasiness.

Chicken breast poke salad

This is the one I chose — the eternal friend of dieters, chicken breast salad^^lol This isn't the dry, tough chicken breast you find elsewhere. The chicken is shredded along the grain and has no gamey smell at all, blending naturally into the salad. High in protein, it keeps you full through the afternoon after lunch without the sleepiness or bloating you get from fried food or carb-heavy meals. This is exactly why you eat salad hahaha. I added spicy mayo sauce to mine and it was a real treat~

How about a solo lunch near Gyodae Station?

Overall, Olla Poke Gyodae Branch stands out for the freshness of its ingredients. With poke or salad, the quality of the ingredients almost entirely determines the taste — and here there wasn't a single wilted corner on the vegetables; every topping felt freshly maintained. The portions are also generous enough to satisfy an adult as a full meal. It's a perfect fit for anyone who wants a light lunch but doesn't want to get hungry again right away lol.

If you want a healthy, easy-on-the-stomach meal near Gyodae Station, or if you want to enjoy a solo meal in a pleasant space without worrying about anyone's eyes, I recommend stopping by Olla Poke Gyodae Branch. Great accessibility, a comfortable interior, and both the soft avocado and the light chicken breast poke — it has everything for an enjoyable lunch.
