Lash lift for thin, sparse lashes near Seonjeongneung Station: On The

My lashes have always been thin and sparse. On top of that they stick out in random directions and curl the wrong way, so even with a lash curler they'd droop right back. So this time I decided to try a lash lift. I went to a place called On The Boutique, right in front of Seonjeongneung Station 👀

On The Boutique (ON THE BOUTIQUE)

It's a 1-minute walk from Exit 4 of Seonjeongneung Station — turn into the alley before Subway and you'll see this standing sign in front of the building. They do lash lifts, lash extensions, and sugaring waxing, and it runs on a 1:1 by-appointment system with the designer.

If you're driving, know this ahead of time: there's no parking inside the building. You'll need a nearby paid parking lot — Nice Park Gangnam Insight Building is about 40m away, and TrooParking Mr. Homes Seonjeongneung branch is about 120m away 🚗 By subway, Exit 4 of Seonjeongneung Station is closest; it's a 10-minute walk from Exit 7 of Seolleung Station, and 980m from Exit 2 of Gangnam-gu Office Station.

Once you're inside, this is the door to unit 201. There's a big On The Boutique logo next to the door, so there's no chance of getting lost.

Inside the 1:1 by-appointment single-room studio

Inside, it looks like this. There's a separate waiting area with seats and a treatment room further in. The whole place was white and neatly kept ✨ Since it's a 1:1 by-appointment single-room studio, you get it all to yourself.

There's a wardrobe inside the treatment room where you can put your bag and outer layer. Next to the bed sits a cat plushie. Aren't you just adorable 🐱

On The Ddolmang Perm price, membership, and coupons

With membership, if you charge ₩100,000 you get ₩110,000 in credit, ₩200,000 becomes ₩220,000, and ₩300,000 becomes ₩345,000. Worth it if you go regularly 💡 They also sell lash serum cheaper than buying it online, so picking one up after your treatment isn't a bad idea.

What I got was the On The Ddolmang Perm. It's the On The Signature Perm plus On The Black — that is, black tinting — layered with four steps of nourishment (basic lash nutrition + pH balance + tangle care + premium green nutrition) and finished with a black coating. They recommend it for people like me with thin, sparse lashes who want a defined look without mascara.

Via Naver Reservation, the On The Signature Perm is ₩35,000 and the On The Ddolmang Perm is ₩40,000. (This is the event price with the 10,000 won follow coupon applied.)

Sparse lashes: my before state

So here's the before state. Sparse lashes pointing every which way, barely any curl visible from the side. During the consultation the designer told me my lashes were in pretty bad shape 🥲 Embarrassing, but true, so I just laughed 😂

I was worried the lash lift would sting

The treatment is done lying down with your eyes closed, and that's it. I'd heard so much about lash lifts stinging that I was a bit worried, but for me it was comfortable from start to finish, no stinging at all 😌

And here's after. My lashes lifted so much I almost didn't recognize my own eyes!! They had almost no curl before, but the designer worked hard and got exactly the curl I wanted.

From the front it looks like this. With the black tinting, the lash line looks as dark as if I'd worn mascara. Up close, the lashes stand up straight from the root. My lash count didn't suddenly increase, but with the curl brought back to life, everything looks much more defined.

From the side the difference feels even bigger. Compared with the before photo, doesn't it look like a completely different pair of eyes?

I kept taking photos from different angles 😂 Since the lift starts from the root, the curl holds up no matter which way you look.

How to make a lash lift last longer

Let me note down the aftercare tips the designer gave me too. First, don't wash your face for 5 hours after the treatment. Most lash lifts get messed up either because people rub their eyes removing mascara, or because the lashes lack nourishment. Sleeping on your side also has an effect. So the recommended care is this:

• Apply lash serum every time you wash your face (twice a day or more)
• Reapply whenever you think of it
• Apply deep from the root (if it touches the mucous membrane and stings, lift the applicator slightly away from the root)
• When removing eye makeup, wipe gently upward from below rather than zigzagging

Apparently just applying serum consistently makes lashes grow longer. I'm going to try to keep it up this time too 💪
