Honestly, at first I thought pizza was a bit of an odd choice for drinks. It seemed too light as a side dish, wouldn't really fill you up, and I wasn't sure it'd pair well with alcohol.

But that day, while trying to figure out what to eat with a friend, we just purely craved pizza and beer. We searched for pizza restaurants near Jongok Station and found Didi's Pizza Pub — and once we got there, I realized I'd been completely wrong.

Near Jongno-gu Office, known as a company dinner spot

Right by Jongno-gu Office in the Doosan We've Pavilion building, this place was already known among office workers from Gwanghwamun and Jongno as a go-to spot for team dinners. Even though we went early, the place was packed.

  • Address: 101, 122 Doosan We've Pavilion, 81 Sambong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea
  • Notable: runs two sections — main building and annex

Business is going so well they've even expanded into an annex building.

No break time, open straight through until midnight

On top of that, most bars in Jongno have a break time, but this place runs straight from 11am to midnight on weekdays, so you can have a daytime drink without feeling awkward about it. Not having that typical break time turned out to be a bigger differentiator than I expected. The place is split into a main building and an annex, and if there's no seat, staff will guide you straight inside.

Staff set, assistant manager set? Rank-named sets on the kiosk

You order through a kiosk at each table, and the set names follow office job ranks — staff set, assistant manager set, manager set — so I was already laughing while choosing the menu. Of all the pizza places I've tried near Jongok Station, this is the first one to add this kind of detail.

Jjanggu crackers and pickles come out as basic sides first, followed by the draft beer. The moment you lift the glass, the condensation on the surface already looks refreshing, and one sip carries that crisp, clean feeling all the way down 🍺

Handmade-dough Didi's Pizza: chewy dough, crisp crust ends

Maybe because the tables turn over quickly, the pizza stayed fresh all the way through with no flat, stale feel. The handmade-dough Didi's Pizza came out first — a classic combo of bacon, pepperoni, cheese, and mushroom. Bite into the dough and you get a noticeably chewier texture than thin-crust pizza, and the crust ends are grilled crisp on the outside only, making for a fun contrast in texture.

The mayonnaise-based sauce gives it a rich, sweet flavor, but paired with draft beer, that richness washes right away, and you find yourself reaching for another slice.

How spicy is Didi's Buldak Pizza, really?

Next came the handmade-dough Didi's Buldak (fire chicken) Pizza, topped with spicy chicken, mushroom, onion, and buldak sauce. As soon as the plate landed, a spicy aroma hit us right away, but once we actually ate it, it wasn't tongue-numbing — just pleasantly hot.

Every time you bite into a bit of cheongyang chili, a wave of spice would hit and then quickly fade. Taking a sip of draft beer right after that spicy hit was the whole point of this combo. I've been to several pizza places near Jongok Station, but it's been a while since I found one where pizza and beer supported each other this naturally.

One free Kirin draft beer with a Naver Reservation coupon

One thing other reviews rarely mention: if you book through Naver Reservation, you can use a coupon — and it gives you a full glass of Kirin draft beer for free.

We just went for a casual pizza-and-beer session with a friend, but by the time we left, I was already thinking I should book ahead next time 😋 I'd come back whenever I'm craving pizza and just want a simple beer. The price felt reasonable too!!!

For spice lovers, I'd recommend the buldak pizza; for sharing easily with a group, go with the original Didi's Pizza. If you're weighing pizza options near Jongok Station, this one's a solid pick for a drinking session too.
