Facial and face-line care in Dong-gu, Ulsan: Healing House

In short

Healing House is an esthetic salon in Dong-gu, Ulsan, offering consultations for skin concerns and face-line care. After discussing pores and facial contours, I received cleansing, a hinoki massage, exfoliation, ultrasound, hydration care, and arm, neck, and lymphatic care over about 1 hour 30 minutes. Mondays are especially heavy days, both physically and mentally, haha. This time, I tried starting mine a little differently. Right at the beginning of the week, I went for skin care in Dong-gu, Ulsan. You might think, “A treatment on a Monday?” But once I came out, it actually felt like I was starting the week on a happier note, so I was really pleased.

The place I visited this time was Healing House in Dong-gu, Ulsan. I had been bothered by pores that seemed to be getting wider and wanted my face line to look a little more defined, too. So rather than a treatment that simply adds moisture to the skin, I was looking for somewhere I could discuss the things bothering me and receive a range of care suited to my skin that day. After a consultation, we decided to focus on hydration, exfoliation, firmness, and defining my face line, with an overall facial treatment 😚

In an alley, but parking was easier than expected

When I first saw the location, I wondered, “Will there be anywhere to park here?” It is tucked inside an alley, so I worried that bringing my car would make parking stressful. But when I looked around, there were actually quite a few places to park. Jeonha 2-dong Community Service Center is right in front of the building, and there are public parking lots nearby, so it seemed like you could park close by and visit.

I checked Jeonha 2-dong Community Service Center that day, but there happened to be no spaces, so I ended up parking near the salon entrance. Still, it seems that the area in front of the salon is often empty, so visitors could check there first. I had worried about parking, but it was much easier than I expected, thankfully.

Healing House is on the second floor, so I went inside the building and followed the stairs up. When I arrived and rang the bell, the owner opened the door right away. My first impression when I entered was that everything was clean and well organized.

These days, when I get skin care, I feel a little distracted if the treatment room is overly busy or cluttered. This place felt orderly overall, which was relaxing. As soon as I entered, I was guided straight to the consultation room behind the desk.

There, I explained what I was usually concerned about and discussed the direction for that day’s treatment. I said that pores that seemed to be widening and defining my face line were my biggest concerns. Based on that, we decided to focus on hydration care, exfoliation, firming care, and face-line definition. Above all, the owner’s skin was so beautiful that I naturally trusted her even more. It was like, “People who do skin care really are different…” haha.

Careful treatment from cleansing through massage

After a brief consultation, I went into the treatment room. There was a separate changing area inside, and they gave me a gown to change into.

I arrived wearing makeup that day, but I did not need to cleanse it myself; the owner did it for me. After thoroughly finishing the cleansing, she applied ampoule and oil to my face and began the facial treatment in earnest.

What especially stayed with me was the facial massage using a tool made of hinoki cypress. Usually, the meridian massage I had in mind involves quite strong pressure and can feel like “it hurts, but I endure it.” This treatment did not feel like that.

Rather than applying strong pressure overall, she seemed to work very carefully along the contours of my face. She did not rush through just one side; she checked each part thoroughly as she worked, so I relaxed a lot during the treatment.

Then the owner said my trapezius muscles were very tense, so she loosened that area too, and it felt sooo good, haha. My shoulders and neck tend to be stiff, so when she pressed on my trapezius muscles, I could really tell where I had been holding a lot of tension.

Why opening my eyes after the treatment felt different

Treatment process after the facial massage

After receiving the facial massage for a while, I opened my eyes, and this was personally the fascinating part‼️ Opening my eyes felt a little different than usual. They felt less heavy and as if some puffiness had gone down, so I felt like I could open them much more comfortably. Of course, this can vary from person to person, but I felt the difference quite clearly right after the treatment.

When I took before-and-after photos, I could also see a slight difference in my face line, which made comparing the photos fun. My face tends to get puffy in the first place, so I was quite satisfied with this part.

And the treatment did not end with the facial massage that day. I also received a pack for exfoliation, followed by ultrasound care and, at the end, thorough hydration care. They placed a pack full of ampoule on my face, and from that moment, it was simply time to lie down and truly rest, haha.

Not just the face: refreshing arm, neck, and lymphatic care too

Another thing I liked was that it did not end with facial care alone. While the hydration pack was on, she also treated my arms, neck, and lymphatic areas. This felt amazingly refreshing too. I thought the treatment would focus only on my face, but having my neck and arms loosened as well made my whole body feel a little lighter.

So, true to its name, it really felt like I had come for healing, haha. Especially because I visited on a Monday, my body, which had been tense from the start of the workweek, felt a little more relaxed. I came for skin care and ended up properly resting, you could say.

The treatment took about 1 hour 30 minutes in total. It was not a quick treatment: from the consultation and cleansing to facial care, exfoliation, ultrasound, hydration care, and arm, neck, and lymphatic care, everything was done step by step, so the time passed quickly.

If you are looking for face-line care in Dong-gu, Ulsan

After receiving facial care at Healing House, I liked that it was not simply a matter of putting something on the skin and ending there. I could discuss what was bothering me that day and receive thorough overall care. I was especially concerned about pores, firmness, and my face line, and through the consultation we set a treatment direction that continued from facial massage through exfoliation and hydration care, so it felt like I was addressing several things at once.

So I thought it could be a good fit for people looking for face-line care in Dong-gu, Ulsan, or those who want face-line care along with more than basic skin care. And if strong-pressure meridian massage feels burdensome, people who prefer detailed, careful care like the treatment I received could comfortably have a consultation and decide!

Most of all, the owner checked on my skin condition and worked carefully throughout the treatment, so I could receive it comfortably. And after skin care, you just feel better for no reason, right? Haha. That day too, when I looked in the mirror after it was over, I thought, “I’m glad I came here on a Monday.”

Taking care of my skin, defining my face line, and loosening up my body left me able to start the week in a slightly better mood 🤍 If you are looking for a skin-care esthetic salon in Ulsan—especially facial or face-line care around Dong-gu, Ulsan—it may be worth checking out Healing House.

After receiving the treatment this time, I thought I should come back next time on a day when I am feeling a bit weighed down, haha. Of course I want to look prettier, but sometimes you need time to simply lie down without thinking and receive careful care. This visit was exactly that kind of time. I was satisfied because it felt like I got skin care, face-line care, and healing all at once :)
