Marshmallow-cream Einspänner and latte concentrate at Coffee by Hands

Floating around as always in search of café hotspots... and I found one in Sangdo Market too: Coffee by Hands Roastery.

Real hidden gems always have detail-oriented, friendly owners~ The large-size concentrates and latte concentrate would make great gifts too.

There are surprisingly a lot of good cafés in Sangdo. I should compile the coffee spots along the Soongsil University–Isu–Sadang line sometime and share them.

Location — how far from Sangdo and Soongsil University stations

It's a 9-minute walk from Exit 3 of Soongsil University Station, and 9 minutes from Exit 5 of Sangdo Station. If you take the bus, it's 3 minutes from the Sangdo Traditional Market stop.

Coffee by Hands... made by hand... handmade coffee, I guess? The tagline underneath, "differently, deliciously," gives off a certain trustworthy vibe.

Menu — from einspänner to dutch and latte concentrate

There's the signature einspänner, plus latte, choco latte, and various other coffee and non-coffee menu items.

They also had dutch coffee concentrate and, unusually, latte concentrate too. Would make a great gift (because it's delicious, that's why).

They come in black and decaf separately! There are a few different sizes too — 200ml and 500ml.

The latte concentrate comes in 500ml and 1L, and the fact that you can make a delicious latte at home this easily... the owner must be at least somewhat educated in this, haha.

Besides the concentrates, canned packaging and drip bags are also available. The concentrates come packaged nicely too, so they're good for gifting.

How chewy is the einspänner cream?

I tried the einspänner, latte, and 500ml latte concentrate. Conclusion: delicious, haha. The einspänner cream was really chewy~~. Even the famous einspänner spot near Sadang Station wasn't this chewy, no joke.

Seriously chewy. Kind of like eating marshmallow.

The amount of cream was generous and tasty too. Sweet~ and it pairs well with the coffee underneath.

The 500ml latte concentrate, tried at home

The latte was rich and delicious too. My mom, who's a latte lover, said she was so happy to be able to have a latte at home, haha.

You can drink the latte concentrate as is, but since it's strong I added a bit more milk (Danish milk recommended), and it was smooth and tasty. I'm planning to go back soon and try the choco einspänner too. Never seen a choco einspänner before, so I'm curious. There's a lot of choco on the menu too, so they seem pretty serious about chocolate.

Certified good-price shop, 10% filial discount

Turns out it's been designated a certified good-price shop. And since our mom is picky about not liking her latte too hot, they very carefully accommodated the request. Super kind.

Also, apparently there's a 10% filial discount too. First time I've heard of something like that. It's mainly a takeout place, but it's nice that there's also a small space to sit and drink for a bit.

If you're looking for a good coffee spot near Sangdo or Soongsil University station, I'd definitely recommend giving this a visit~!!
