A 3-minute walk from Hyehwa Station Exit 3: why Meono Kkameona for a date
While looking for a special, out-of-the-ordinary date course in Daehangno, I ended up at a place where you can taste authentic Indian flavors right in the neighborhood — the Hyehwa Station favorite, Meono Kkameona.
From the entrance, the exotic spice aromas and the colorful Nepali and Indian decor made me feel like I'd been instantly teleported abroad, haha. The interior was really cute and pretty, so it was great for photos too. Rooms and group seating are also fully available.

What comes in Meono Kkameona's Set B, plus vegetable pakora
This time I ordered the generously composed Meono Kkameona Set B along with vegetable pakora (fried vegetable fritters). Set B comes with a green salad, tandoori chicken, curry (your choice), naan or rice, and lassi, the traditional Indian yogurt drink.

The vegetable pakora — vegetables and potato coated in a fragrant curry batter and fried until crispy — had a savory, rich flavor that got my appetite going before the meal.
Set B was fun to build since you get to pick each item to your taste. I chose medium spice level and paired butter chicken curry with naan and plain lassi. The butter chicken curry was soft and rich with a manageable medium heat, and the naan I chose turned out to be the real MVP. Freshly baked, golden and chewy, dipping it into the curry was just perfect.
The plain lassi that finished the meal was thick and tangy-sweet, cutting through the heaviness of the curry — the real 'kick' of the whole meal. Building it myself made for a satisfying meal from start to finish.

Vegetable pakora (fried vegetables)
This is an Indian-style fried vegetable dish, coated in batter and fried crispy — crunchy outside, moist inside, with a faint spice aroma that kept my hand reaching back for more. A real treat.

The green salad in Set B
Fresh vegetables tossed with a tangy-sweet sauce were great for whetting the appetite. The sweet, refreshing sauce is a total MVP.
Tandoori chicken from the tandoor oven
Crispy outside, moist inside, the chicken was coated generously with a spicy-sweet chili sauce that grabbed my taste buds. It was delicious even without dipping in extra sauce.
Curry and butter naan
I chose chicken makhani and mutton curry, both packed with generous chunks of meat that gave a great chewy texture. Dipping the piping-hot, tandoor-baked butter naan generously into the curry made me let out an actual gasp. The butter naan is seriously, seriously good.
Thick plain lassi
The sweet yet refreshing yogurt drink, lassi, wrapped up the meal cleanly. The lassi was so, so good — it's totally the kick of the meal.
Verdict: is Meono Kkameona worth a Daehangno food date?
Meono Kkameona is a place where you can enjoy refined, authentic Indian cuisine in an upscale atmosphere. From the crispy vegetable pakora to the customizable set menu, every dish was exceptionally well made. The combination of the wonderfully chewy naan and the lassi that cleanly rounds off the meal really stood out. I'd strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the essence of authentic curry in a proper, well-appointed space.
It's a great Daehangno spot to visit when you want to step away from everyday life and feel a bit of an exotic atmosphere. Thanks to the uniquely deep-flavored curry and the generous fresh ingredients, it was a time that healed both body and mind. The friendly staff paired perfectly with the exotic interior, making me feel like I'd genuinely traveled to India.
If you're planning a quirky foodie date, I highly recommend visiting the charming Daehangno Indian curry specialist, Meono Kkameona!
