1st-floor seating and pudding steamed egg at Manpo Galbi, Yangju
In short
Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch is a Korean BBQ rib restaurant in Manseong-dong, Yangju, near Gwangsa Elementary School and Goeup Library. On a Sunday 11:30am reservation, the writer sat on the 1st floor for the first time and ordered two servings of fresh pork ribs with pudding steamed egg and beef brisket doenjang stew, finishing with free water naengmyeon (cold noodles). The grill runs hot, so watch the meat closely, but the ribs stay juicy and full of flavor.

I visited Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch, a restaurant in Manseong-dong, Yangju. This is, in my opinion, the best galbi (grilled ribs) spot in Yangju.

Location of Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch
Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch is located near Gwangsa Elementary School and Goeup Library. By the way... the sky was so pretty that day haha.
Parking

The parking lot is very spacious. But maybe because I visited during Sunday lunchtime, it was completely full of cars.

Sunday lunch reservation and waiting
I had a reservation for 11:30am but ended up being a little (?) late... I felt so sorry to the owner ㅠㅠ Still, even though there was such a crowd that people were waiting the moment I arrived, the staff seated us kindly and I was so grateful. Sorry again, and thank you so much!!!
Inside the 1st floor

Every time before, I always ate upstairs on the 2nd floor, but this time I finally ate on the 1st floor.

Side dishes like yukhoe (beef tartare), yukjeon (beef pancake), and salad came out quickly, and the table was already set with utensils.
There was actually a storage compartment next to the table with utensils we could have taken ourselves, but... every single staff member was so kind ^^
Menu and what we ordered

I was torn between ordering LA galbi (cross-cut short ribs) or fresh ribs... After a long debate, this is what we ended up picking~~~

- Korean pork fresh ribs (200g) ₩21,000 x2
- Pudding steamed egg ₩3,000 x2
- Beef brisket doenjang stew ₩6,000
- Rice ₩1,000 x2
- Sprite ₩2,000
- Fanta Pineapple ₩2,000
- Water naengmyeon (cold noodles) free
That's what we ordered.

While waiting for the food, I went up to the 2nd floor to see if anything had changed.
Inside the 2nd floor

It was still clean and had a great atmosphere. If I bring a big group of people sometime, I plan to use one of the private rooms.
If you need Wi-Fi, feel free to use it~

The country-of-origin labeling was clearly and transparently posted ^^

I headed back down to the 1st floor and got ready to eat.
Grilling and tasting the fresh pork ribs
When I got back to my seat, two servings of fresh ribs were already on the table.

They put the meat on the grill and cooked it for us.

The heat is strong, so if you let your guard down even a little the meat can burn — please be careful!!! I was watching the meat like a hawk while grilling it hahahaha.

One bite of the first well-cooked piece~ As expected, it was so fresh and delicious. Even after flipping it often, the juices were still locked in.
Pudding steamed egg and brisket doenjang stew
The steamed egg was still soft and fluffy, just like always. It's basically a rice thief. Even without meat, you could easily finish two bowls of rice on the steamed egg alone.

The beef brisket doenjang stew (soybean paste stew) was still delicious too. It was packed with tofu, peppers, enoki mushrooms, brisket, onion, and more, giving it an outstanding depth of flavor.

I was so happy the whole time I was eating the meat.
The combination of fresh vegetables and juicy fresh ribs was... indescribably the best!!!
Free water naengmyeon and dessert
Finally, I finished everything off nicely with the free water naengmyeon they provide ^^

I was way too full to try the bbeong-screams (puffed rice cracker + ice cream). I'll definitely give it a try next time.

That's it for Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch, a favorite restaurant in Manseong-dong, Yangju.
