Kid-friendly lamb restaurant near Dasan Station, Namyangju: Jin 1926
In short
Jin 1926 Dasan Branch is a lamb specialty restaurant on the second floor of the building in front of Exit 1 of Dasan Station (Line 8) in Namyangju, Gyeonggi. A pregnant mom and her child ordered the signature lamb ribs and lamb chuck flap (salchisal), and staff grilled the meat at the table and reheated it once it cooled, so the child happily gnawed the ribs straight off the bone. The pollock roe gondeure rice paired so well with the lamb at Jin 1926 that one bowl felt like too few.

Being pregnant means I can't drink, but I still refuse to give up good food. While looking for a lamb restaurant near Dasan Station I could take my kid to, I found Jin 1926 Dasan Branch. My kid had been singing about lamb for days, so off we went.
After going, this place instantly became my go-to answer for lamb near Dasan Station. It seemed like it would work well for both families with kids and work dinners, so here's my review.

Where is Jin 1926 Dasan Branch, and what is the restaurant like inside?
Jin 1926 Dasan Branch is really close to Exit 1 of Dasan Station on Line 8. It's on the 2nd floor of the building right across the street, but the first time I went, I approached from the back of the building and couldn't see the sign, so I got briefly lost.
You need to approach from the front to spot the sign, so if it's your first visit, I'd recommend walking straight from Exit 1.

Going up to the 2nd floor, the hall was quite spacious — it looked like they'd recently expanded and relocated. The tables were spaced generously, so even with a high chair pulled up next to us, it never felt cramped. There's bar-style seating too, not just tables, so I thought it'd also be nice to come back lightly with just my husband sometime.
There's storage space under the chairs, even covered with vinyl, which showed some attention to hygiene.

Lamb menu and meat origin at Jin 1926 Dasan Branch
Jin 1926 Dasan Branch carries a wider variety of cuts than I expected. There's lamb ribs, lamb sirloin, and even a specialty cut like chuck flap. I was torn between French rack and ribs, but personally I like lamb ribs better, so I ordered those — turns out they're the signature dish here! So you can count on the taste.
Lamb ribs are the intercostal cut, so there's the fun of gnawing meat off between the bones. I'd never seen chuck flap on a lamb restaurant menu before, so out of curiosity I ordered that too.

The meat is premium Australian grade, and since they only use lambs under a year old, there was almost no gamey smell. It's flown in via air freight and used 100% chilled, never frozen, with a same-day-cut, same-day-sold policy — once I read that, it made sense why it was so tender.
The stir-fried mung bean sprouts come free, one plate per table, and it was genuinely delicious, so we ordered an extra one. It cost ₩3,000 more, but it was worth it. The assorted vegetables are free to add more of, so we didn't hesitate to ask for extra.

Staff grill the lamb tableside and reheat it when it cools

If I had to pick just one thing I loved most about Jin 1926 Dasan Branch, it's that a staff member grills the meat right at your table. When my husband and I grill it ourselves, we usually end up burning it or undercooking it, but here that worry was completely gone.
What impressed me even more was that if the grilled meat cools down while you're eating, they'll put it back on the grill to warm it up again. Usually at a barbecue place you eat the first portion hot and the last portion cold, but here we got to eat everything warm from start to finish.

There's a separate cast-iron pot for grilling the lamb ribs set beside the glass partition, so it gets that real smoky flavor too. And my kid gnawed through so many lamb ribs I lost count haha. Maybe it was the fun of holding bone-in meat and tearing into it, or maybe it just suited her taste, but she ate way more than usual.

With my kid eating so well and someone grilling right beside us, my husband and I could really relax and eat too. The garlic, green onion, and tomatoes grilled alongside also paired well with the lamb, and the pollock roe gondeure rice (dried aster rice) we ordered as a palate cleanser made me regret ordering just one bowl.

It's more moist and tasty than the gondeure rice at many proper Korean set-meal restaurants, and the pollock roe adds a real highlight that pairs beautifully with lamb! If you order lamb here, definitely get this dish too.

Reservations, parking and payment at Jin 1926 Dasan Branch

Jin 1926 Dasan Branch also accommodates groups and takes reservations, so it seemed like a good spot for work dinners or gatherings too. Since the hall has expanded, it looks like they can comfortably seat larger parties.
You can also pay with Onnuri gift certificates and Gyeonggi local currency. Parking is available inside the building too, which was nice. I couldn't drink draft beer being pregnant, but they do sell it, so I already know I'm coming back for a cold one after I give birth.

What fell short, and would we bring the kid back to Jin 1926?

Honestly, I couldn't find any major downsides, but if I had to name one, it's that the sign isn't visible if you approach from the back of the building, which could confuse first-time visitors. It's worth remembering to walk straight ahead from Exit 1 of Dasan Station.
The place was clean and the staff were kind, so my overall satisfaction was high. There's also an event where writing a Naver review gets you one free lamb rib, so keep that in mind if you're planning a visit.
If you're going as a family with kids, the spacious hall and kid-friendly facilities make it an easy, comfortable choice. For work dinners or gatherings, it's great for booking group seating in advance. If you just want a light meal for two, the bar seating works well too, like enjoying a quiet solo drink. If you're looking for lamb ribs near Dasan, this is a place worth stopping by at least once.
