I visited Manpo Garden, a popular galbi restaurant in the Yangju foodie neighborhood. It's a restaurant with private rooms, so it's great for family gatherings!

Out of the many galbi restaurants in Yangju, the reason I recommend Manpo Garden is that they give you free naengmyeon (cold noodles) when you order meat! The clean table setting with a variety of side dishes, including a taste of yukjeon (pan-fried beef) and yukhoe (raw beef), was also great.

The interior atmosphere is upscale and pleasant too, so it's perfect for anyone looking for a Yangju room restaurant for a family meal out or a gathering spot. Let me show you in detail below.
Manpo Garden location and parking
Located in Goeup-dong, Yangju, this restaurant has a large parking lot.

I arrived at Manpo Garden, which looks grand from the outside. It's a large restaurant, so it's great when you need to gather with a lot of people.

There are large parking lots at both the front and back of the restaurant, so you can visit without any parking hassle.
Inside the Yangju room restaurant
The interior is made up of private rooms and a spacious, comfortable hall. It's wide and clean, great for when you need to gather a large group.
Once you step inside, a spacious, pleasant interior appears. It has a modern design.
It's not dark — the bright atmosphere makes it comfortable to eat here.
The inside of this Yangju room restaurant is a bright, clean space separated from the hall. It's well set up for privacy.
Menu and prices

You order through the kiosk on the table. Manpo Galbi's (weekday) galbi set is ₩19,000 — great value. It comes with galbi, beef brisket doenjang sulbap (rice with brisket doenjang), and naengmyeon. There's also a variety of other meat menus: Korean pork galbi ₩19,000, hanwoo direct-fire bulgogi ₩28,000, hanwoo sirloin++ ₩42,000.

For grilled items like hanwoo, samgyeopsal, mokssal (pork neck), and gabrisal (pork skirt), you can see and pick the cut you want.

For rice-meal menus, there's Manpo galbitang ₩14,000, Manpo bone stew (ppyeogaejang) ₩11,000, and yukhoe bibimbap ₩15,000.

The yukhoe bibimbap comes loaded with fresh raw beef, which was great to eat.

Is the naengmyeon really free?
If you look at the photo I took of the Manpo Galbi menu, you can see the naengmyeon listed at ₩0. It's a galbi restaurant that gives you free handmade naengmyeon when you order galbi.

The handmade Hamhung naengmyeon (broth or spicy) is free, and the portion is about the size of a dessert-course naengmyeon! It's the perfect amount after eating galbi. Since it's made in-house, the noodles are chewy and the broth is delicious too.

The taste-portion yukhoe and yukjeon included in the table setting can also be ordered as extras for a separate charge — yukjeon 200g for ₩6,000, yukhoe 150g for ₩5,000.
The table setting

A clean table setting with a variety of side dishes appeared. Side dishes that go well with galbi came out: baek-kimchi (white kimchi), jangajji (pickles), muchae (radish salad), cucumber-pepper salad, potato salad, along with yukhoe, yukjeon, salad, and dressed lettuce.
Everything was arranged neatly and cleanly, so it looked great too.
Yukhoe and yukjeon come out as well. For ₩19,000 per serving of galbi, the side dishes are really generous. It's such good value that this is the place I think of when I want galbi in Yangju.
If you run low on any side dish, you can refill it at the self-serve corner, and wrap greens like lettuce are also prepared there.

Two servings of Korean pork galbi
My order of two servings of Korean pork galbi arrived. It's made using 100% rib meat. The seasoning isn't overdone either, so it's subtle and clean to eat.

The charcoal was good too, so grilling the meat gave it a nice smoky aroma!
I grilled it well and took a bite! With its subtle smoky flavor, clean texture, and not-too-heavy seasoning, it's a really enjoyable galbi. Wrapped in lettuce as ssam, it's honestly delicious.

You can't skip the rib bones either — the chewy texture is appealing.
Yukhoe bibimbap and beef brisket doenjang stew
For the rice menu, I tried the yukhoe bibimbap! Just looking at the color of the raw beef, it looks fresh! It's served in a generous portion, and mixing it up thoroughly is delicious.

If you like yukhoe bibimbap, definitely order this!

I wanted some soup too, so I ordered the beef brisket doenjang stew. It had plenty of brisket in it, and the broth had a savory, spicy kick — it paired really well with the galbi.
Free naengmyeon finish and dessert
After eating galbi, of course you finish with naengmyeon. The fact that it's free is genuinely touching. Since it's handmade Hamhung-style naengmyeon, the noodles are wonderfully chewy. The broth has a subtle, savory flavor too.

The spicy version stood out for its sweet-and-sour sauce!
And that's not the end. There's also dessert coffee and puffed-rice ice cream waiting!

The name Manpo Garden means "to give abundantly," and from the free naengmyeon to the dessert finish, this restaurant really lives up to its name! From the basic side dishes to dessert, you can eat a filling, satisfying meal.
This is the spot when you're craving galbi in Yangju, or when you need to go somewhere with a group for a gathering. The interior atmosphere is great, and with the private rooms set up, you can dine comfortably.
