Gwacheon hair salon layered cut and Oju...: One & Only Hair

I booked a layered cut in advance through Naver and visited One & Only Hair Gwacheon Cheongsa Station branch (원앤온리헤어 과천청사역점). I usually only wash and dry my hair, so its dryness had been bothering me. This time, I also received an Ojuá treatment.

How do you get there from Government Gwacheon Government Complex Station?

The salon is on basement level 1 of Gwacheon Cheongsa Station Hanyang Sujain Officetel, a two-minute walk from Exit 1 of Government Gwacheon Government Complex Station. The address is 15 Byeolyangsangga 1-ro, units B05–B08. Parking, Naver booking, and Naver TalkTalk consultation are available.

What were the salon atmosphere and conveniences during the treatment like?

The salon was spacious and clean, with bright lighting. It was also a good place to take photos of my hair after the treatment.

After I entered and gave my name, the stylist in charge showed me where to go. I left my belongings in a locker, put on a gown, and moved to my seat.

The shampoo bed was especially soft and comfortable. I liked being able to lie comfortably through the process, which involved washing my hair several times.

The salon offered Ojuá treatments, Milbon’s hair-care line. It had several lines, including Smooth, Quench, Fillmelow, and Aquaveer, so I could consult about what suited my hair condition.

Drinks and toast were also available. Since I visited on a hot day, I was first given iced peppermint tea and snacks.

Which treatment did I receive for my fine, wavy hair?

Since I was juggling childcare and work, I did not have much time for separate home care. My hair is somewhat wavy and on the fine side, so I was recommended a treatment focused on the Quench line and finished with the Smooth line.

Before the main treatment, I washed my hair with a protein shampoo. It smelled good and produced a rich lather, which made me feel good during the shampoo.

What was the order of the Ojuá treatment?

The program I received had four steps in total. First, after shampooing and removing excess water, the stylist sprayed the Step 1 product over all my hair and worked it in thoroughly. They applied the Step 2 product over that and worked it in again. In Step 3, they applied a foam product mainly to the damaged areas.

After waiting briefly, they rinsed my hair once. Finally, they applied the Step 4 Smooth product all over, worked it in, and rinsed again. They explained that the final step smooths and tidies the hair’s surface.

The stylist in charge applied each product personally and took care with every step. What stood out was that the treatment involved working the products in by hand over several stages, rather than applying them once and simply waiting.

How did my hair change after the layered cut and blow-dry?

After the treatment, I also received a layered cut. The stylist tidied the extra volume and uneven lengths that had built up as my hair grew, then finished with a blow-dry.

Comparing my hair before and after, it looked moisturized from the middle to the ends, and the ends that had looked split were tidied up. I liked the change after receiving the treatment together with the cut and blow-dry.

I was able to discuss the design I wanted in a comfortable atmosphere, and each part of the service was handled carefully. It gave me a chance to take a short break from my busy routine.

Did the style last through the evening of the appointment?

In my case, the shape created by the blow-dry and the moisturized feeling lasted through the evening. I liked the Ojuá care enough to purchase a hair treatment at the salon as well. I would like to visit again because I could tidy up the length and volume while also caring for my dry hair.
