Gwacheon hair salon for ash brown: One & Only Hair

Frequent coloring and use of an Airwrap and curling iron had left parts of my hair faded and orange-toned. With important events coming up, I visited One & Only Hair Gwacheon Government Complex Station (원앤온리헤어 과천청사역점) to neaten up my hair tone.

The part I focused on most with this color was reducing the orange tones. I compared my hair tone before and after the ash brown coloring.

How do you get there from Gwacheon Government Complex Station, and where can you park?

The salon is on B1 of Hanyang Sujain Officetel, a one-minute walk from Exit 1 of Gwacheon Government Complex Station. The building entrances were marked A and B.

The address is B05–B08, B1, 15 Byeoryangsangga 1-ro, Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. If you visit by car, the directions say to enter via the road behind the building and use the B2–B3 parking garage. Parking support is not available at the Gwacheon City public parking lot in front of the building.

What were the salon atmosphere and service seats like?

A pleasant scent greeted me when I entered, and the modern interior caught my eye.

There was a sofa for waiting and a cafeteria area. The salon was spacious, with plenty of room between seats, so I was comfortable during the service.

Which color did I choose to reduce the orange tones?

The designer gave me a one-on-one consultation under a dedicated-designer system. We discussed my spring bright warm personal color and an upcoming wedding photo shoot. I was advised that a slightly lighter color could suit the shoot as well.

This time, I chose a mint-tinted ash brown, with the focus on tidying up the orange tones.

What care did I receive during coloring and shampooing?

I received the color service comfortably with a cushion. They also provided a drink, sliced bread, and strawberry jam that day, which helped with my hunger during the appointment.

The shampoo room was arranged as a private space for one person. They used Aujua shampoo and treatment, introduced as care to prevent color fading. They smelled nice, and my scalp felt refreshed during the shampoo.

Before drying my hair, they applied an essence to help reduce damage and finished with a serum. My hair felt soft, and I liked the subtle scent enough to consider buying the products.

How did the orange tones change after the ash brown color?

Comparing before and after, the orange tones were reduced and my overall hair tone looked cleanly evened out. The color showed more as my hair dried, so I looked forward to seeing the result.

Once it was fully dry, I was satisfied because I felt the color came out like the reference photo I had brought. I especially liked that the mint tint had reduced the orange tones. I expected the brown to become softer and lighter after one to ten days, but this post reflects my experience immediately after coloring.

The attentive care from consultation through the finish made the appointment comfortable. Next time, I wanted to return for a layered cut.
