Suwon café for coconut coffee: Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters

I recently went to Starfield to get a suit made, and honestly, Starfield is always sooo my style. There’s so much to see and so much shopping to do, which makes it fun—and among the cafés at Starfield Suwon, there was Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon Branch (정지영커피로스터즈 스타필드수원점). It was beside the restaurants on the second floor, and Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters is, as expected, somewhere you can trust for a good drink haha. It’s famous in Haenggung-dong too, and now it has opened at Starfield, so obviously!!!!

There are seriously so many cafés, but when you head up to the second floor, you can spot Jeong Jiyeong right away like this. You can trust it, you know... There were really lots of people, and seeing the queue made me want it even more!!! There were all kinds of menu items, and my friend recommended the coconut coffee as their signature, which made me happy haha.

There was coffee, lots of different lattes, and desserts too, so lots of people were getting takeout. Shopping, food, coffee—love that Starfield Suwon has it all. I especially liked that the café is right there once you walk around the second floor. There were several coffee beans to choose from, and decaf is available too, just so you know!

From coffee to ice cream and desserts

They even have ice cream like this, so you can choose from lots of options. Jeong Jiyeong had reasonable prices and plenty of variety, which I liked. Once I visited, I liked it even more because you can enjoy so many things at once, and the value is excellent too!!! The space was well done, and while there are branches in different places, Starfield was especially convenient. This is the kind of place that never lets you down wherever you visit!!!

So, what did the coconut coffee taste like?

While deciding what to get, we ordered an Americano and a coconut coffee. The coconut coffee was ₩7,000 and wow... the presentation was insane. It came out properly, and it tasted exactly like the coconut coffee I used to drink in China. From now on, if I want coconut, I should only go to Jeong Jiyeong~ Highly recommend the coconut coffee!! Apparently the fig cake is a signature too, so I need to try it later~

They have rusks too...!! As expected, Jeong Jiyeong is always reliable. There are so many desserts, so if your energy crashes while shopping, stop by and keep this place in mind~ I was torn because there are so many cafés inside Starfield, but of course I went with reliable Jeong Jiyeong... Everyone has coffee here and says it’s seriously delicious! It was nice to sit indoors and drink, and Jeong Jiyeong Roasters was also great for settling into the mood with a latte. I think everyone would like this vintage-feeling, delicious spot!!!

And then the latte and Americano were ready!!! Seriously crazy delicious haha. The sweet latte and the Americano were both good, right? Sweetness that just never ends, no matter how much you drink. Jeong Jiyeong’s lattes are generally all really good, but I especially recommend the coconut one! The coconut didn’t taste artificial; it blended in naturally and was deliciously sweet. It would have been even better if there were a larger size... The coffee quantity was seriously the best!!!

If you love coconut, you have to try it! I’d been wandering around looking for coconut coffee near my home every day, and it was here at Jeong Jiyeong haha. My legs were aching and I was tired after shopping, but drinking this made me happy... Love lattes, my love. I usually only drink Americanos, so the coconut coffee felt totally different!!! It was sweet but nicely balanced, with a nutty note too, and it made me think, the beans really are good. Everyone around me was drinking coconut coffee too haha. I guess everyone knows what’s delicious.

My mom liked Jeong Jiyeong too, and I thought it was delicious as well. They also sell beans here, and they were so good that I almost bought some on my way home... Next time I go to Starfield, I definitely need to bring some back~ “No coffee. No work.” is legendary! I liked it when I saw they had such a witty line too. If you’re looking for a café at Starfield Suwon or a great place for takeaway desserts, give it a try. The prices are reasonable, and it’s on the second floor, making it a great stop after a meal!
