Salted mugwort cookie and strawberry choco pie near Jongno 5-ga
In short
Ssuk's Choco Pie Seoul is a takeout mugwort dessert shop tucked inside Gwangjang Market near Jongno 5-ga Station, Seoul. A six-piece box brought the Geomundo sea-breeze mugwort choco pie, Nonsan strawberry choco pie and salted mugwort cookie, and the cookie nailed sweet-and-salty while each choco pie was rich enough with cream to satisfy on its own. Individually boxed and wrapped in plastic, it's a great pick for office snacks or gifts.

Today I'm sharing a Gwangjang Market dessert I got to take home! It was so good, with so many varieties, and packed with mugwort aroma — I really loved it haha. Sweet through and through — let me introduce it right now!

A Gwangjang Market spot packed with all kinds of choco pies and mugwort desserts

All the different choco pies are displayed like this, so you just tell them which combination you want and they'll pack it for you!! Everything comes in a box, so it's great for gift wrapping, and even buying just one still comes in its own box, which I loved haha.

Packing the six-piece set — how to store it?
I packed a six-piece set to take home. Choco pies must be refrigerated, cookies stay at room temperature! I really appreciated how kindly they explained this haha.

The box packaging was so pretty it would make a really nice dessert gift too.

Inside the box there was a card explaining the Ssuk's Choco Pie menu, which was a nice touch haha.

Isn't this packaging so pretty, ugh. Each piece comes individually boxed, so it's really tidy and perfect for sharing haha.

The Geomundo sea-breeze mugwort choco pie is a choco pie loaded with fresh cream and mugwort flavor!

On top of the box, everything is wrapped once more in plastic haha. Such a clean setup for a Gwangjang Market dessert spot. So there's no chance of getting your hands sticky. Totally recommend it as an office snack.

The salted mugwort cookie — sweet-and-salty done right
The salted mugwort cookie. It's made with boiled fresh cream, sea-breeze mugwort, French Guérande salt, and New Zealand butter!! There's salt sprinkled on top.

Thanks to the salt, it's totally sweet-and-salty and so delicious, and the mugwort aroma was really good, ugh.

It's a chewy, moist, soft cookie that's so delicious — this salted mugwort cookie, I really recommend it. It melts in your mouth while still being full of mugwort flavor, truly delicious. This dessert was the definition of sweet-and-salty.

How the Geomundo sea-breeze mugwort choco pie tastes
The Geomundo sea-breeze mugwort choco pie. Each pie is huge, thick and hefty, so even just one is completely satisfying — a Gwangjang Market dessert I'd recommend.

There's cream sandwiched in the middle like this, and the chocolate coats it in three neat sections, so it's not too sweet — really nice.

The cream is such a luxurious cream that it's truly, truly delicious — a Gwangjang Market dessert. Just one is super filling, and the cream is so generous that it's moist and soft.

The Nonsan strawberry choco pie brings a refreshing tang
The Nonsan strawberry choco pie. It's a strawberry choco pie packed with purée made by boiling down Nonsan strawberries directly! The chocolate isn't overly coated, just the right amount, which I found really satisfying — a Gwangjang Market dessert.

This one has a refreshing strawberry purée that blends so harmoniously and tastes great, ugh. Truly a delicious dessert from this Gwangjang Market spot. Totally recommend it!
