The store was spacious with high ceilings, so it never felt cramped.
They had a signature coffee made with pine nut cream, so I got to try something different from regular coffee.
From cakes to financiers and canelés, they had a good variety of house-made desserts.
With free parking and pets allowed, it was convenient to stop by while out and about in Gapyeong.
I visited Cafe Imchori while looking for a café to eat dessert at near the Garden of Morning Calm in Gapyeong.

Close to the Garden of Morning Calm, with free parking
It's relatively close to the Garden of Morning Calm, so it was good to stop by before or after visiting the garden, and having parking made it convenient to visit by car.
This is an area where a lot of people get around by car, so it was also nice that the café offers free parking — no need to hunt for a nearby lot.
They also allow pets, so apparently you can visit even if you're out in Gapyeong with your dog.

The café makes its desserts in-house, and apparently uses French gourmet butter for the financiers and canelés, so it was good to try the dessert lineup along with the coffee.

A high-ceilinged interior
Walking in, the first thing I noticed was the high ceiling, which made the space feel much less cramped.

Overall it was decorated in a clean, modern style, and the tables weren't packed too closely together, making it a good spot to relax with coffee.

It's a café that makes use of a large space, so it looked easy to find seating even with a group, and it was a fine spot to rest for a bit during a Gapyeong trip.
On one side of the store there was a red sport bike on display, along with some auto-themed props, which made it fun to look around. Instead of the usual bakery café feel, these props gave it a more distinctive atmosphere and it was also decent for photos.

What we ordered — two coffees, three desserts
This time I ordered a bunch of things: iced Americano, signature coffee, pure milk melon cake, a financier, and a canelé.
Classic canelé ₩3,300

The canelé is also made in-house, so it was good to order one alongside the financier and compare them.
Pure milk melon cake ₩8,500

With soft milk cream paired with melon, it went down easily with coffee, and having fruit in it gave a different feel from the financier or canelé.

Ordering one fresh fruit cake alongside the baked goods, rather than just baked goods, was nice because the dessert types didn't overlap.
Iced Americano ₩5,500

Having it with the Americano in particular was a good combo, since the cake's sweetness didn't linger too long.

It was a cleaner way to eat compared with the signature coffee, so if you're choosing a coffee to pair with dessert, the basic Americano was a solid option too.
Financier ₩3,500

There was a subtle butter aroma that was fine on its own, but dipping it into the pine nut cream on top of the signature coffee made it go together much better.
Signature coffee ₩7,500
The signature coffee had a nut allergy warning label, and apparently uses a cream made with pine nuts.

When you think of Gapyeong, pine nuts come to mind first, so it definitely stood out that they used pine nuts in the coffee too. The cream had the distinct nutty flavor of pine nuts added in, giving it a different feel from a regular cream coffee. While drinking it, I dipped the financier into the cream a bit, and the buttery financier paired well with the pine nut cream — tastier than eating it plain.
Wrap-up
The store was spacious and had parking, so it was a good place to rest and have dessert after visiting the Garden of Morning Calm.
If you're looking for a café in Gapyeong for cake or financiers, this one was worth a stop.
