Gangnam lip blush for purple-toned lips: Lamoon Brow

My lips are naturally dark with a purplish tint, so even when I applied lip color, I could not get the shade I wanted. After looking for long-term reviews, I made an appointment at Lamoon Brow (라문브로우) near Gangnam Station.

According to the original post's directions, it was a two-minute walk from Exit 5 of Gangnam Station. The studio is in Room 412 on the fourth floor of Hyundai Gireum Officetel, 42 Seocho-daero 78-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul. Its listed hours were 11:00–21:00 Monday through Saturday, and it was listed as closed on Sundays.

From Exit 5, walk straight, turn right at Dosiebit Officetel, then enter the building to the left of the convenience store. Free parking was not available, and the listed rate was ₩1,200 per 10 minutes. The original post also suggested using a parking app to look for cheaper nearby parking.

Which color did I choose for my purple-toned lips?

After I rang the bell, the owner opened the door for me. The interior felt neat and comfortable overall. We checked the condition of my lips and chose a color by considering my lip tone, skin tone, and personal color together.

If you bring the lip products you normally use, you can get a recommendation for a suitable shade. I had previously been assessed as both spring warm light and summer cool soft, but in this consultation I was told I was closer to spring warm. To offset the purplish tint of my natural lips, I was recommended coral for a complementary-color effect, and I chose a gradient lip treatment.

Did it hurt even with numbing cream?

I had numbing cream on for about 15 minutes, but it was still painful for me. It was not unbearable, but I cannot say that it did not hurt. Everyone's pain tolerance can differ, so please take this as my personal experience.

How did the color and swelling look right after the treatment?

Color had been added to my formerly purple-toned lips, and I was pleased that the gradient effect I chose looked natural.

At first, the color may look darker than expected. In the consultation, I was told to expect about 30% of the immediate color to remain. This is not a result I have personally confirmed over the long term.

People around me had made me wonder whether semi-permanent lip makeup was really necessary, but after getting it, I found it convenient in daily life. It was an especially satisfying change for me because I had worried that my face looked dull without makeup because of my lip color.

Right after the treatment, my lips looked fuller than usual, and the swelling gradually went down over time. Because of this experience, I would recommend leaving some time before an important event rather than getting it the day before.

What was the color like the next day, and what about a touch-up?

The next day, I took photos wearing only lip balm. What I liked most was that my lips did not look sore even without applying a separate lip color.
