Lip semi-permanent makeup, Seocho: tailored color at Lamoon Brow

When I was having coffee or in meetings, the color would wear off from the inner part of my lips, which bothered me. Since it was hard to touch up often, I wanted to add a natural healthy tint to my bare lips, so I visited Lamoon Brow (라문브로우) in Gangnam because I considered color consultation important.

How did I choose the lip semi-permanent makeup color?

What mattered most to me was a natural look. Rather than having only my lips stand out on a bare face or leaving an overly deep color, I wanted a little more healthy color added to my natural lip tone.

I was told that they find a color through a one-on-one consultation, considering skin tone, natural lip color, lip shape, and harmony with overall facial features. The fact that they would choose a suitable color based on my lip tone was why I decided to visit.

During the consultation, I showed them the lip products I usually use, and they said I was already using colors that suited me. We then compared colors by holding a lip color palette against my face.

After going through the color chart twice and comparing, they chose the color that suited me best. I often get confused about which colors suit me when deciding alone, so I felt at ease receiving a recommendation through the consultation.

What were the treatment space and preparation like?

The treatment space was a clean one-person studio. The use of disposable items was also reassuring to me.

How long did the treatment take, and how painful was it?

Before the treatment, I was concerned that my face looked pale when I did not wear lip color. Rather than changing my lip shape, I wanted to add healthy color to my natural lip tone.

I remember the preparation taking about 20 minutes and the treatment taking about an hour. However, I did not clearly record the total time, including preparation.

There was some pain. It was not extremely painful, but it was not a treatment that passed without any sensation either. My lips were swollen immediately afterward, and I was a little surprised when I saw myself.

I visited around the end of my menstrual period. The studio had advised avoiding that period in advance and explained that sensitivity or swelling could increase within three days after it ends, so they recommended avoiding that time if possible. This was guidance I received from the studio at the time; I did not confirm whether my pain and swelling were caused by my period.

Did I like the lip color immediately after treatment?

There was swelling, but the color was in the direction I wanted. To my eyes, it gave my face more life rather than standing out too strongly, which I liked.

Comparing before and after, I was also happy with the natural addition of healthy color. What I wanted was a base lip color that would not leave the inner part looking noticeably pale even if my lip color wore off after drinking coffee or eating. However, I have not yet reached the point of confirming whether that effect remains after lip color actually wears off.

How much have I confirmed about the color and care after peeling?

The part I was most satisfied with during this visit was the consultation that chose a color based on my skin tone and natural lip color. Still, I do not want to regard the immediate result as final, and I plan to wait and see what color remains after peeling.

After the treatment, I received a care guide booklet.

I also applied the ointment they gave me. I was told that aftercare is important, and I am watching how the color settles. So far, I am satisfied with the tailored color consultation and the immediate color, but there was pain and swelling, and I have not yet confirmed the final color or how long it lasts.
