Why did I look into men’s lip tattooing?

I was often concerned that my lip color looked dull, so I always carried tinted lip balm. If I left it behind or forgot to apply it, I felt that I looked especially drained, and before meetings or important occasions I would check my lip color in the mirror.

Continuously carrying tinted lip balm became inconvenient, so I looked into lip tattooing in Gangnam. I had also heard that people around me had received men’s semi-permanent treatments, so I booked an appointment at Lamoon Brow (라문브로우).

Where is Lamoon Brow, and how did I book?

Lamoon Brow is located at Room 412, 4F, 42 Seocho-daero 78-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul. The original post lists it as 169 m from Exit 5 of Gangnam Station, about a two-minute walk. Hours were listed as 11:00–21:00 from Monday through Saturday, with regular closure on Sundays. Booking information was provided through a KakaoTalk channel, and I made a reservation in advance.

I received a warm welcome when I arrived. The interior was clean and white-toned, with a sofa where a companion could wait.

How did the lip color consultation go?

Looking at the lip balm I usually use and my natural lip color, I received a brief personal color consultation. We checked colors that suited me together, and I was told that I have a winter cool tone. I liked learning about my skin tone while discussing the lip tattooing.

The director explained that they hold a national technical qualification and have received several awards. Hearing this made me feel more at ease about undergoing the procedure.

How painful was the procedure?

Soft music played in the treatment room, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Before the procedure, my wife would tell me that my lips looked drained if I did not wear tinted lip balm. That was why I had always been applying it.

The procedure began after numbing cream was applied. In my case, there was a noticeable sensation, but I felt almost no pain. I was comfortable enough to fall asleep partway through and woke up when I was told it was finished.

How did my lip color and daily routine change afterward?

After the procedure, I was satisfied because my lip color looked more vibrant than before. During the consultation, I was told that men’s treatments do not use overly strong color, and that the color seen immediately after the procedure would fade somewhat. Since then, I have often been told that I look brighter.

The change I was happiest with was not having to go through the trouble of carrying tinted lip balm every morning. I also became less concerned that my lips might look dull whenever I looked in the mirror.

What aftercare guidance did I receive?

I received detailed instructions and precautions for aftercare, along with related materials. I was also given information about lip balm and supplies for care. At the time of my visit, there was also information about a review event.

During this visit, I received everything from a consultation to choose my lip color through the procedure and aftercare guidance. What stayed with me most was that the inconvenience of constantly carrying tinted lip balm had decreased.
