Couple's date pho with purple sweet potato fries at Dongtan Station

I'd eaten this before at the Bundang branch, and when I heard a Dongtan Station branch had opened, I had to go — the meat portion is huge and it's so good that I wanted to go back again to my favorite pho spot near Dongtan Station, Mibundang Dongtan Station Branch.

Where do you park?

You can park in the Richian complex's underground lot, so parking was easy. The basement level goes really deep, so it's always convenient to park here — I come by sometimes because there's a Haeyanpungcha (White Windmill) nearby, haha.

I'd heard about Mibundang opening for a while, but my husband isn't a huge fan of pho so we hadn't gone. Then I suddenly craved it, so we went together as a Dongtan date. Living up to its reputation as a top pho spot near Dongtan Station, it's really close to the station too.

Inside the restaurant and the wait

This place almost always has a line, so if you order outside in advance, they'll call you when it's ready. Takeout is also available.

I thought "Mibundang" referred to the Bundang neighborhood, haha, but it's actually a Chinese term for rice noodles?! Fun fact.

While waiting, you can use a parasol and drink cool hutgae (raisin tree) water, and since you order before going in, you don't wait long inside — a comfortable visit overall.

The menu board and what we ordered

Here's the menu board. I think I got the brisket pho and my husband got the brisket-and-tendon pho. We also ordered the assorted fried platter, generously portioned.

Half-cooked and fully-cooked takeout are both available, and cilantro is given separately so you can make it even tastier. That said, I'm the type who thinks noodles have to be eaten in the restaurant, haha.

Side dishes and the bar-seating vibe

Everything is bar (dachi) seating, so it's a place where you focus quietly on your food rather than chatting with the person next to you.

They give you onions, sweet pickled radish, and basic water. If you want more, you just set it up on the counter and they seem to refill it without you having to ask.

What's interesting is that the kitchen is fully visible from the bar seats, and it was kept genuinely spotless. Honestly, bar seating is hard to pull off if you're not confident about hygiene, and this place nailed it.

Brisket pho with meat covering the noodles

I mean, seriously, haha — they gave us so much meat it completely covered the noodles, you couldn't even see them.

On top of the generous pile of meat, the broth is refillable too, so you can eat it up happily.

Haha, this is honestly enough to double as a protein boost! You'd think pho is mainly about the nourishing broth, but here even the toppings feel like a health tonic.

The noodles were also really generous. I never leave noodles unfinished, but wow — with this much noodle and this much meat, I got completely full.

There were also several sauces on the table, so if you start to feel a bit tired of the flavor midway through, you can mix in sauce and enjoy it even more.

Round two, loaded with cilantro

A lot of people dislike it, but I've loved cilantro since I was 20, so I loaded it in for round two.

The broth feels even cleaner this way, and it tastes like what real pho should taste like! I genuinely enjoyed it as a true pho spot near Dongtan Station.

Brisket and tendon pho that felt like gukbap

This one's my husband's — loaded with tendon too. Honestly it felt almost like eating gukbap (Korean soup with rice)!!! On our Dongtan date, my husband even refilled the broth once, just like with gukbap.

I stole one piece of tendon from his bowl. Plenty of meat, noodles, and vegetables — it was delicious. There's clearly a reason Mibundang has such a reputation as a top pho spot near Dongtan Station.

What's in the assorted fried platter?

The assorted fried platter also came out — various crispy fried items with chili sauce in the middle.

There were several different types of fried items, so it was fun picking and choosing.

We had chicken wings and potato-shrimp fritters — the outer coating on these was seriously crispy, so good!

We also enjoyed things like purple sweet potato fritters.

Other little touches

Before heading out the door, there's mouthwash, candy, and toothpicks, plus a review event. This was my first visit to any Mibundang branch, and it's a Dongtan date spot near Dongtan Station I'd 100% go back to.
