Panne bacon cream pasta with a 9-month-old at Anseong café: Chat Baker
In short
Chat Baker Brunch & Bakery Café is a 500-pyeong brunch and bakery café inside the outlet complex in Gongdo-eup, Anseong. Visiting on a weekend with a 9-month-old baby, we sat by the water curtain and ordered panne bacon cream pasta, a vanilla bean latte and an Americano, with free parking and wide seating gaps making it easy to relax. There's no diaper-changing table, but it's a great stop before or after Anseong Farm Land or Starfield.

On a café tour of Pyeongtaek and Anseong with a 9-month-old
Lately I've gotten hooked on café touring with my baby. Now that she's about 9 months old, she doesn't cry as much as before, and if I just hand her rice puffs she stays quiet, so on my days off I've been touring cafés around Pyeongtaek and Anseong!
If you're stopping by Anseong Farm Land or Starfield and looking for somewhere to rest, I recommend Chat Baker, a large bakery café in Gongdo. It's about 5 minutes by car from Farm Land and around 10 minutes from Starfield, making it perfect for a day-trip route haha.

Inside the Gongdo-eup outlet complex — getting there and parking

It's located inside the outlet complex near the Lotte Mart and Watchtower in Gongdo-eup. Coming by car from the Gongdo side, I turned right under the overpass, then did a U-turn in front of the 7-Eleven and turned left to get in — it was quick to reach.

Parking matters a lot when visiting a large café like this, and Chat Baker, a brunch café in Gongdo, Anseong, has plenty of free parking dedicated to the outlet complex, so even on a weekend I pulled in with zero parking stress!

500 pyeong and a floor-to-ceiling water curtain
Stepping inside, the high ceilings and open, airy feel really lived up to the 500-pyeong scale.

What really caught my eye was the water curtain running down the floor-to-ceiling windows. Even on a sunny day, it created a scene like gentle rain falling outside — haha, just watching it felt refreshing. I sat by the water curtain and took photos of the baby! There's no diaper-changing table, but it was still a great spot to visit with a baby.

Pet-friendly terrace, spaced-out seating, and music
Outside the water curtain, the terrace area is set up so pets can join too. With the weather this cool and breezy lately, it seems like a nice place to relax.
Both the first and second floors had generously spaced seating, so even during the busy weekend rush it was easy to sit back and stay calm.
On the second floor, mellow jazz and LP records were playing — apparently there are live weekend jazz performances when the timing works out, so it might be worth coming back for that.

The second floor also has a Balmuda oven and a self-packing station, which is great for warming up bread. I liked the thoughtful touch of making it easy to take leftover bread home.

Brunch order hours and the drink discount
Brunch items like pasta and risotto at Chat Baker can be ordered comfortably any time from 11am to 8pm. There's also a nice perk where ordering a brunch dish gets you 30% off one drink per item!

About 80 kinds of handmade bread and an automatic display case
The display case was filled with around 80 kinds of handmade bread, kneaded and baked fresh every morning. So many good-looking loaves that as a self-proclaimed bread lover, my eyes went wide.

Pressing a button on the display case makes the glass door slide open automatically, which was both hygienic and really convenient when picking out bread with a tray haha.

Panne bacon cream pasta and vanilla bean latte
I ordered the panne bacon cream pasta, a vanilla bean latte, and an Americano! The panne bacon cream pasta comes with savory, salty bacon and smooth cream pasta stuffed inside crispy house-baked panne bread.

The sauce soaked deeply into the bread, so I could eat it heartily to the last bite without getting tired of it!

The signature vanilla bean latte had a deep, smooth natural vanilla bean flavor instead of artificial sweetness, and I was glad I ordered it haha.
From the open, comfortable space to the convenient parking and the sense of care and genuine quality across the bakery and brunch menu, everything was satisfying all around. I think I'll come back again when I want to unwind with delicious panne pasta and a coffee before or after a trip to Anseong Farm Land or shopping at Starfield!
