Dessert café near Konkuk CGV, single cups from ₩4,700: Beurre Beurre

Today I'm bringing you a review of a newly opened ice cream shop near Konkuk that's become a real hotspot :) It's a new dessert spot near Konkuk CGV, and turns out it's actually a famous ice cream brand! This is Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch.

Where is Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch, and what are its hours?

Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch is a 2-minute walk from Exit 6 of Konkuk University Station, right on the way to CGV. It's in a perfect spot for a dessert stop after watching a movie.

The hours are pretty long, but since opening times vary a bit, I'd say it's safer to visit after 12pm :)

Inside Beurre Beurre: a wait even at a brand-new shop

Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch, a great spot for a Konkuk date, has really long hours and serves ice cream, a dessert everyone from kids to adults loves, so even though it just opened, there were tons of customers! I had to wait a bit before I could order :) There were also a lot of foreign customers! I'd never heard the name Beurre Beurre before, but it seems to be a pretty famous brand!

Beurre Beurre ice cream sizes and prices: single to quadruple

Beurre Beurre, great for a Konkuk date, has a huge variety of ice cream flavors — 16 in total. Among them, the BEST are "Cooba Cooba," a cookies and cream flavor, and "Nutty Peanut Butter," which is famous too! It's a bit more of an acquired taste, but "Mellow Mango" is also among the bests! This time a new flavor called Alrap-sso Matcha came out, but since matcha is love-it-or-hate-it, I haven't tried it yet.

Walking into the store, there's not just ice cream but lattes, shakes, float sodas, and cup bingsu (shaved ice) — all kinds of drinks and desserts! There were even snacks in the dessert case that made me curious just looking at them, like ice popcorn, Monicaron, chocolate chip New York cookies, and injeolmi (rice cake) rice. I was too full to try one, but I might get one next time :) The matcha strawberry shake is apparently a popular menu item, so worth keeping in mind ♥

Among the size options, the most popular is the triple, which lets you try three flavors at once. Since you pick three flavors, it's a nice size for one or two people!

Cooba Cooba and Nutty Peanut Butter: our picks from 16 flavors

The ice cream is scooped right after you order, and it was obvious at a glance that Cooba Cooba was the most popular! I chose Cooba Cooba! My boyfriend, who came with me, chose Nutty Peanut Butter :) One nice thing is you can choose between a cup and a cone!

They also did a great job with the trendy photo shot for social media. Cooba Cooba had that distinctive cookies-and-cream flavor, with the rich, slightly heavy taste that's the whole point of cookies and cream — I personally love that heavy flavor, so I really enjoyed it!

The Nutty Peanut Butter my boyfriend had was strong with that distinctive peanut butter aroma and taste — it would be exactly the flavor for people who love peanut butter! I'm not really a peanut fan so it wasn't quite my style, but my boyfriend really enjoyed it :)

Parking and tips for visiting Beurre Beurre near Konkuk CGV

There's no parking in front of Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch. Given the nature of Konkuk Rodeo Street, cars can technically enter, but the street is quite narrow and can get congested. You might be able to stop briefly to order and pick up your menu, though :) If you're looking for dessert after a movie date at Konkuk CGV, I'd definitely recommend a visit!
