Bakery café near IKEA Goyang: hydrangea views & mango bingsu, Baedagol

After visiting IKEA Goyang, I went looking for a café nearby, and I heard there was one where you can enjoy pretty hydrangeas and a flower-scented atmosphere, since it's hydrangea season. So I went to Baedagol Bakery House (배다골베이커리하우스) in Goyang, Gyeonggi. The mood was lovely, and the mango bingsu (shaved ice dessert) and bakery items I tried were delicious too, so I was really satisfied. It's a good place to stop by together with IKEA Goyang, and I liked it enough that if I go to IKEA again, I want to come back.

Baedagol Bakery House is a café in Deogyang-gu, Goyang, near Starfield Goyang and IKEA Goyang, so it's easy to get to by car. With its spacious interior, pretty atmosphere and tasty menu, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a café nearby.

I also liked that you can enjoy drinks and desserts not only indoors but also in the flower-scented outdoor space. We sat inside, but the big windows let us see the scenery outside and the pretty flowers together, which was great.

Is parking easy at Baedagol Bakery House?

There's a parking lot in front of the building and more parking across the street, so I could visit without worrying about parking. It was busy with customers, but as a big café, it has plenty of parking space.

Can you see the hydrangea garden from the indoor window seats?

The interior has big windows all around, so you can enjoy the pretty flower views from your table indoors.

We were lucky enough to get a window seat, and looking out at the flowers felt so healing. Personally, I think it would be nice not only on a sunny day but also on a rainy day, relaxing while watching the view outside the window.

Outdoor garden tables and a sand play area for kids

There are tables outdoors as well as indoors. Thanks to the well-kept garden, it was a nice place to relax while smelling the flowers, and many customers were in fact enjoying the café at the outdoor tables.

What I liked was the nature-friendly space for kids. These days there aren't many playgrounds where kids can play with sand, which is a shame, but Baedagol Bakery House has a well-maintained sand play area, so it looked like a good place to visit with children.

The menu was wide-ranging. Fresh mango season had just started when I visited, so there were various mango menu items too.

On top of that, there were many drinks too: coffee, tea, smoothies, ade and more. With options to suit everyone from kids to adults, it seemed good for family visits.

It's known as a great bakery café, and many items were already sold out when I visited, but there was still a wide variety of bakery items.

For a bread lover like me, it was honestly heaven. There were so many tasty-looking items that choosing actually took quite a while.

How was the fresh mango snow bingsu?

The fresh mango snow bingsu is ₩25,000, and the ripe fresh mango went really well with the soft milk shaved ice. It was fresh mango season, so I couldn't just walk past it and had to order it.

It seemed like they ripen the mangoes first and put only the ones in good condition on the bingsu. Maybe that's why the mango itself tasted really good, sweet and ripe, just right for eating.

The well-ripened mango on top was delicious, but the soft milk shaved ice was really good too. With the mango syrup and condensed milk served alongside, everything came together harmoniously.

Fresh fruit cream cheese with raspberries

The fresh fruit cream cheese is ₩8,000, and it came with more raspberries piled on than I expected.

I ordered it because of a friend who loves raspberries. There were more raspberries on top than I expected, so we got the fresh, tangy flavor too.

The raspberries were tasty, but they also paired well with the cream cheese underneath, so it was delicious. I was so happy with what we had this time that I'm already looking forward to trying the bakery items next.

Is it a good café to stop by after shopping at IKEA Goyang?

Baedagol Bakery House is a large café in Goyang near IKEA Goyang and Starfield Goyang, a good place to visit after shopping. With its garden of pretty flowers, a wide range of bakery items and fresh mango bingsu, it seemed good for a family outing or a date. You can see the flowers even from indoors and there's plenty of parking, so it was easy to visit. If you're looking for a café in Goyang, it's worth a visit.
