Choose your beans: Coffee829 menu overview

Checking the menu board at the counter, true to a specialty roastery, I could pick my own beans to match my taste.
Blue Moon, Red Moon and decaf beans
- Blue Moon Blend: nutty dark chocolate notes and a heavy body (Brazil Yellow Bourbon, Honduras Copán, Guatemala Antigua)
- Red Moon Blend: berry and floral notes with bright acidity (Ethiopia G1 Natural, Ethiopia G2 Washed)
- Decaf: brown sugar sweetness and a deep body
The coffee menu ranges from a basic americano to lattes, condensed milk lattes and vanilla lattes, plus signature items like the 829 Latte, cream latte and vanilla latte. For non-coffee drinkers, there's a thorough lineup of misugaru (roasted grain powder drink), fresh fruit juices (strawberry, banana, etc.), various ades and herbal teas.

Iced americano, latte and bakery pairings I tried

On this visit I ordered a cool iced americano, a nutty iced café latte, salt bread, blueberry bagel, and butter tteok to try together.

The americano had no burnt taste, showing rich, deep flavor from the beans themselves, and the latte was very smooth with a well-balanced ratio of milk to espresso shot. The salt bread, crispy outside and full of buttery aroma inside, paired beautifully with the drinks. The blueberry bagel had a chewy texture with a touch of tartness, and the butter tteok was chewy yet golden-crisp — such a treat that I kept reaching for more.
