After a meal, I always start thinking about dessert. And when there's a good cup of coffee plus a sweet pie to go with it, the meal feels totally complete, haha. I went to Saison de Pie, a well-known spot near Sarang Church and a famous dessert café near Seocho Station.
It's famous for having really good pies, so I'd been curious about it for a while. Once I tried it, it really lived up to the hype. There were more pie varieties than I expected, so standing in front of the showcase, I suddenly couldn't decide, lol. I was supposed to pick just one, but everything looked so good that I ended up grabbing several.

Seating and atmosphere at Saison de Pie
Saison de Pie has both outdoor tables and indoor seating. The outdoor tables were tastefully set up, great for sunny days. On a nice day, it'd be lovely to sit outside with a coffee and take your time over dessert.

There's also an indoor area with warm lighting, so you can settle in comfortably.

If you like coffee and pie, you've probably heard of Saison de Pie when looking for a dessert café in Seocho-dong. I'd only known the name until now — finally got to try it this time, haha.

Menu and pie prices at Saison de Pie

Looking at the desserts in the showcase, every single one looked beautiful. It wasn't just a pretty arrangement — the pies were packed with ingredients, and you could tell they were baked with real care just by looking at them. And of course... seeing them in person made me change my mind about what I wanted, lol. That's exactly what happened to me.

There were also various drinks to pair with the pies. I looked over each item on the menu I saw during my visit.

What I picked were fig pie, blueberry pie, and aurora pie — three in total.

How the pies get packed to go
When I got three slices of pie to go, they even packed in an ice pack and wrapped everything carefully. They packaged it neatly so the pies wouldn't get crushed. I thought this kind of packaging would be great for visiting a friend's place or giving a tasty dessert as a gift.
Carrying out the box with three pies in it, it was heavier than I expected. That just made me more excited. You could feel how generous the fillings were even through the packaging! And when I got home and opened the box... doesn't it just look delicious?!!
Fig pie taste
Saison de Pie's fig pie is a seasonal pie topped with generous chunks of fig. This fig pie was the first thing that caught my eye. Figs are in season right now, and they're so good.

The figs were piled on so thickly that it stood out even in the showcase. Figs have a subtle sweetness of their own, and eating it with the cream made it nice and soft. And honestly, this really went well with coffee. A bite of pie, a sip of coffee — that combo, I can't resist it, haha. At first the size looked smaller than I expected.
But since the fillings weren't skimped on at all, it actually felt pretty filling when I ate it. I thought of it lightly as a dessert, but after one slice I was surprisingly full.

Blueberry pie taste

The blueberry pie is ₩9,300, and the top is almost completely covered in blueberries. Blueberry is one of my favorite fruits, so I picked this one too. There are really a lot of blueberries on top, right? It's not just one or two scattered on — the top is nearly full of them, and just looking at it felt refreshing.
The blueberries also looked like a large variety — each one was pretty thick and big, which stood out. Maybe that's why the blueberry flavor really came through strongly when I ate it.

Aurora pie taste

The aurora pie is ₩9,300, a cream pie with caramel inside. I picked the aurora pie because it had caramel in it... and yep, it's delicious!! Once I tried it, the caramel flavor came through subtly, and it really suited my taste. I think I'll definitely pick this one again next time!! You could taste the pie's nutty flavor together with the softness of the cream.

The blueberry pie with its fruity brightness, the fig pie with its subtle sweetness, and the aurora pie with its memorable soft cream.
