Eojil In's exterior and two-story seating

Walk a short way from Exit 6 of Wangsimni Station and you'll see Eojil In's calm building, with warm light spilling out through big glass windows. It already feels charming from the outside, and I was in a good mood before I even stepped in.

Inside, the café is split across the first and second floors. Warm wood-tone interiors and soft lighting together made me feel relaxed.
The second floor in particular has big windows along the wall, so plenty of sunlight comes in, and there's a range of seating from large sofas to cozy tables for two and four. The tables are spaced generously, so talking feels comfortable, and it's a perfect spot to work or read leisurely on your own.
Eojil In menu and prices: house roasting and in-store baking

The signature café milk bowl is ₩6,900 and the Americano is ₩5,000. I heard this place reflects the philosophy of an owner who has worked in the coffee industry for over 20 years.
They apparently have a separate roasting space nearby and serve beans they roast themselves. What impressed me even more is that they brought in a professional pâtissier to bake bakery items fresh in the store every day, with fresh ingredients, to go with the coffee.
The menu board was packed with a good range of coffees, teas and other drinks.
- Café milk bowl (signature): ₩6,900
- Americano: ₩5,000

How do Eojil In's café milk bowl, iced Americano and chocolate cake taste?
At Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch I ordered the signature café milk bowl, an iced Americano, plus a hefty-looking chocolate cake and a pastry. Looking at the baked goods displayed beside the counter, from golden financiers to fudgy chocolate cake and vin chaud-style and other pastries, there were so many eye-catching desserts that this combination came after a lot of agonizing.

Eojil In's signature café milk bowl
My order came out nicely arranged on a tray, and the look of it already got my hopes up. The one I was most curious about, the signature café milk bowl, has a generous scoop of soft, chewy Sangha Farm-style ice cream on top of a bittersweet, nutty strong shot.
I took a spoonful of the ice cream first, and its sweet, nutty flavor spread through my mouth as it melted smoothly. The coffee shot and the ice cream blend together naturally into something like an affogato-style luxury latte, and I understood right away why it's Eojil In's signature.

Iced Americano, chocolate cake and pain au chocolat-style pastry
The iced Americano I ordered with it, true to its house-roasted beans, had a really well-balanced mix of acidity and nuttiness, so it was clean and easy to drink.
The chocolate cake I picked for dessert has cool, sweet cream between the sheets of sponge and a chewy, dark chocolate coating on the outside. One bite and the pleasant sweetness melted my tiredness away.
The flaky pastry next to it, in the style of a pain au chocolat, paired its crisp texture with a salty-sweet chocolate flavor on the outside, and it went perfectly with the coffee.
Is Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch worth a visit?
If you've been looking near Wangsimni for a place to enjoy properly roasted coffee along with desserts baked fresh every day, I really recommend visiting Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch. It's only a 1-minute walk from the subway station, so it's very easy to find, and thanks to the wide, cozy second floor, you can spend a relaxed, comfortable time whoever you come with.
The sweet, smooth signature café milk bowl paired with a handmade dessert is a combination that can't fail, so do try it. Next time I'd like to go back and taste the other financiers and the Basque cheesecake, one of each.
If you have plans around Wangsimni this weekend, save it on your map ahead of time and enjoy a lovely café break.
