After-meal 1:1 laser tag date in Seomyeon, Busan: Laser Tag Sports

In short

Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon is an indoor laser tag arena on the 2nd floor of the Art Box building near Seomyeon Station Exit 2 in Busan. After a meal in Seomyeon, the writer and their partner played 2 adult games one-on-one (₩44,000 for 2 people) to walk off the food, and found reloading magazines by hand and feeling the wristband vibrate on every hit as thrilling as a real gunfight. Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon suits couples who want an active, offbeat date instead of the usual indoor routine.

Today my partner and I ate at our favorite restaurant in Seomyeon, Busan, and were about to head to a café on Jeonpo Street. But we were full, and we thought, is there a different kind of date course that could help us digest? How about indoor laser tag? So we went to Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon! Here's my first-hand review of what it was like.

Where is Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon in Busan?

Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon is closest to Seomyeon Station Exit 2, on the 2nd floor of Seomyeon Art Box. You've probably noticed it at least once while passing through Seomyeon.

Lots of people do indoor dates like board games, but hardly anyone tries laser tag! If you're wondering what to do in Seomyeon, Busan, give this unusual date a try. Highly recommended!!!

Is there parking at Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon?

Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon has no dedicated parking lot. Use a nearby public or paid lot, and I'd suggest dropping by for a game while you're out in Seomyeon!

What is inside Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon?

Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon is divided into a waiting area, spectator seats, luggage lockers, a prep area and the survival arena. The waiting area is the first thing you see when you walk in.

On weekends or when it's busy, you may be split into teams with strangers, and couples can also play 1:1. It's an indoor activity, so you can date without worrying about rain, and it works for friends and families too, not just couples, which I liked!

If it's not crowded, you pay right away, store your things, put on the gear in the prep area and head straight into the survival game. If you come with a group and someone doesn't want to play, they can just watch from the spectator seats.

How much does adult laser tag cost at Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon?

At Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon you can start from the basic 2 games, and we did the adult version, 2 games for 2 people, for ₩44,000. Games come in a basic version and an adult version.

In the adult version the gun is heavy, you load the magazine yourself, and you feel the electric-shock wristband vibrate when you get hit. I'd recommend the basic version for kids or anyone with less stamina, and the adult version for those who want a game that feels like real survival.

Lockers, indoor shoes and what to wear

At Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon you store belongings, bags and clothes in a locker, and if your shoes are uncomfortable you can switch to the indoor shoes provided. It's an intense activity with lots of running, so it's best to leave anything that could fall out.

The play space is flat, but since you run and hide, indoor shoes are more comfortable than dress shoes or slippers.

How do you put on the laser tag gear?

At Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon, you watch a video on safety rules and how to use the gear, listen to the staff's explanation, and then start. You can also see laser guns on display in the waiting area.

First, you wear the cross belt, which holds the gun, like a backpack strap, and hook the gun onto the belt. Then you put the laser-sensing headband on your head and the electric-shock wristband on your wrist. If you're hit by the laser gun on the headband or the front of the muzzle, the wristband gives you a shock.

In the adult game, you have to pull out the vertical magazine and put it back in to load the bullets, so it really feels like a gunfight. This is not a run-of-the-mill activity but a unique experience, and I fully recommend Laser Tag Sports as a thing to do in Seomyeon, Busan.

Once the headband, wristband and gun loading are done, you can join the survival game.

What was a 1:1 couple laser tag battle actually like?

The survival zone at Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon is divided up like partitions and is bigger than I expected. So when a couple plays 1:1, it's quite hard to find each other, which makes it really thrilling.

A TV screen in the middle of the survival zone shows which team has been hit how many times, so you can check the score along the way.

Can you bring kids to Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon?

Laser Tag Sports Seomyeon has a separate basic game, and the writer recommended the basic version for kids or anyone with less stamina. It's an indoor activity families can enjoy, not just couples.
