Ahead of my Jeju trip, what bothered me most was how dry and frizzy my hair had gotten.
It snagged every time I combed it, and the ends were snapping off — I couldn't just leave it like that anymore.
So since I was already in Jeju, I decided to swing by Boreum Hair Jeju Inje, known as a hair salon near Jeju City Hall, partly to treat myself.
I liked that they checked my current hair condition first and then filled in what it needed, step by step.
Where is Boreum Hair Jeju Inje, and what is the salon like?
Boreum Hair Jeju Inje is located at 9 Donggwang-ro 13-gil, 1st floor, Jeju-si. It's in a downtown area close to Jeju City Hall, so it was fairly convenient to visit even while traveling around Jeju.
The exterior was clean and easy to spot, and having booked ahead made things even smoother.
The space was tidy too, with no cramped or cluttered feeling, so I could relax during the treatment.
Since I was traveling, I had a lot of luggage, but the staff kindly helped me out, which put me at ease.
So this time at Boreum Hair Jeju Inje, my designer gave me a cut and a hair clinic.
Damaged hair with snapping ends: the diagnosis
My hair overall lacked moisture and felt dry, with ends that were weak, splitting, or snapping off.
I used to just assume my hair was a bit dry, but seeing my actual hair condition and hearing the explanation made me understand why care was needed.
Instead of just slathering on clinic products, they checked my hair condition first and explained the direction, which made me trust the process more.
The cut was also done neatly, taking into account my current hair condition and overall length.
Hair clinic step 1: the clinic shampoo
The actual hair clinic started with a clinic shampoo.
They gently washed out residue left on my hair, prepping it as a base so nutrients could absorb well afterward.
The water temperature during shampooing was kept comfortable, and they checked in with me along the way, so it felt relaxing.
Hyaluronic acid protein care
In the first step, they applied hyaluronic acid protein all over my hair.
They explained this was the first step to fill dry, brittle hair with moisture and protein.
They divided my hair into sections and carefully applied the product, making sure not to miss any damaged parts.
It didn't feel like they were just coating the surface — they kept checking the hair condition throughout and worked with real care.
Filling the hair with low- and high-molecular collagen protein
Next, they filled my hair with collagen low-molecular protein and high-molecular protein, one after the other.
First, the lighter low-molecular ingredient was absorbed into the inner hair, then the heavier high-molecular ingredient filled in the gaps.
They explained that absorbing the lighter ingredient first and then locking it in with the heavier one helps keep the protein from escaping easily.
Ahyunche hair moisture clinic
After filling in the protein, they moved on to a hair moisture clinic using Ahyunche products.
My ends in particular were rough and tangled easily, so they gently detangled strand by strand while applying the product.
The 10-minute scalp pack
Alongside the hair care, they also did a scalp pack. With the pack on my scalp, I got to rest comfortably for about 10 minutes while being treated.
I came in for my hair, but having my scalp cared for too made me feel even more refreshed.
Results of the cut and protein hair clinic
After all the treatments were done, they finished with a cut to neaten up the overall shape and trim the damaged parts.
Hair that used to snag on my fingers because it was so dry felt noticeably smoother and calmer, and the ends were neatly trimmed too.
Is Boreum Hair Jeju Inje worth a visit?
Going through hyaluronic acid protein, low- and high-molecular collagen protein, the Ahyunche hair moisture clinic, and the scalp pack in order felt really systematic.
