Rolling Pasta Suwon Station Branch: a good Suwon Station outing with Mom?
Rolling Pasta Suwon Station Branch (롤링파스타 수원역점) is a Western restaurant known as one of the best-value places near Suwon Station. I was out on a date with my mom, and when we looked around Suwon Station there was plenty to do nearby. For the meal, we chose Rolling Pasta.
It isn't just the pasta. The risotto, pizza and side dishes were all really good, a truly tasty find. The prices are low, so I wondered if the portions would be small, but they weren't. I'd happily recommend it as a good-value spot at Suwon Station.

Rolling Pasta Suwon Station Branch: location and what we ordered
Rolling Pasta Suwon Station Branch is on the Rodeo entrance plaza by Exit 10 of Suwon Station. Mom and I ordered the spicy beef brisket tomato pasta, the shrimp tomato risotto and the margherita pizza. The menu has so many options that my eyes were spinning~~

How much are the pasta and risotto, and how big are the portions?
The pasta and risotto at Rolling Pasta Suwon Station Branch are a really kind price, not even ₩10,000!! You'd think cheap means small portions, right? Not at all. It's a price where you can try a bit of everything without worrying.
Side order: garlic sticks (stick-shaped garlic bread)

Worried it might not be enough, I also ordered garlic sticks as a side, and after trying a bit of everything I was completely stuffed haha. The garlic sticks were garlic bread sticks, moist and tasty. They went well with the pasta, risotto and pizza, so they were nice to nibble on in the middle of the meal.
What's at the Rolling Pasta Suwon Station Branch self-service bar?

Before eating, grab small plates, a fork, a spoon and napkins at the self bar. There were no lemon slices, but the water had a slight lemony taste and went down easily. Soda is nice with Western food, but the water was so good that we didn't need cola or cider.
The pickle container has a separate spot where you can stand the lid upright, which keeps the lid clean and stable. I took my cutlery and some sweet-and-sour pickles from here and went to our table.
Margherita pizza: the surprise hit, right down to the crust

I honestly didn't expect much from the margherita pizza at Rolling Pasta Suwon Station Branch, but the cheese seems to be natural cheese. It was rich and tasty.
The basil pesto on top of the cheese was so cute. Mom said even the dough was delicious, and since the pizza was unexpectedly good, we cleaned it all up without leaving any crust.
Spicy beef brisket tomato pasta: how hot and how tasty?

The spicy beef brisket is great as pasta and great as risotto. When I think of Rolling Pasta, the spicy beef brisket pasta is the first thing that comes to mind. It's pleasantly spicy with a savory depth, a flavor nobody dislikes. Mom enjoyed it too.
Shrimp tomato risotto with four shrimp

The shrimp tomato risotto at Rolling Pasta Suwon Station Branch has four big, appetizing shrimp in it~!! There are cherry tomatoes too, which gave it a nice texture.

If you like shrimp and are craving something spicy, this is a dish I'd recommend. Honestly, every time I've eaten at Rolling Pasta at Suwon Station there hasn't been a bad dish. I felt there's a reason the restaurant by Baek Jong-won, famous for winning over mainstream tastes, is so well known.
Is Rolling Pasta Suwon Station Branch good for eating alone?
Rolling Pasta Suwon Station Branch is a comfortable place to eat alone. We went on a weekday evening, and quite a few people were dining solo. There are seats for two and the restaurant is spacious, so it felt relaxed for solo diners.
There aren't many good places to eat alone near Suwon Station, but Rolling Pasta Suwon Station Branch works for couples, friends and families, and also for a leisurely meal on your own.
