Hongdae izakaya bar seats and Momoshu highball in Yeonnam-dong: Koma
Koma Yeonnam is a Japanese-style izakaya on the basement floor of a Yeonnam-dong alley in Mapo, Seoul, near exit 3 of Hongik University Station and the Gyeongui Line Forest Path. From the bar counter facing the open kitchen, the writer ordered Signature Set A for two (59,000 won), a Momoshu highball (9,500 won) and truffle potato salad (7,500 won), and rated the sashimi cake and the charcoal-grilled tori momoyaki the highlights. With wide gaps between tables, Koma Yeonnam suits solo drinks, a date or a group night out alike.
