Hi everyone! It felt like it was cooling down and then it got hot again lately. Is everyone keeping their health in check? My boyfriend and I are weak against the heat, so we went to get some stamina food at a Suwon eel restaurant, Songnim Bok Jangeo. It's all-you-can-eat freshwater eel, pork belly, AND chicken neck meat 😮 You might think we're just people who use "stamina food" as an excuse to eat well, and... you'd be right (づ ̄ 3 ̄)づ Let's get into the honest review of Songnim Bok Jangeo.
Parking and what the dining room is like

There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. Both above-ground and underground parking are well set up, so you can visit worry-free about parking 👍🏻👍🏻

It's a brand-new place that opened in late July, so the interior is super clean! The store is spacious and there are also good seats in the back for groups, so it seems like a good spot for company dinners or family gatherings too. They said it can hold up to 100 people 😮

The all-you-can-eat time limit is 2 hours! Plenty of time to eat your fill of eel and even have a drink haha. There's also a guide on the wall showing how to grill eel, so first-timers should check it out and grill accordingly 💗
Songnim Bok Jangeo's menu and what the couple ordered

For 29,900 won per adult plus a 3,000 won table charge, so 32,900 won total, you can enjoy as much fresh eel as you want. There are also meal-type menus like eel soup, galbitang (short rib soup), and yukgaejang (spicy beef soup). You could even come at lunch just for the eel soup to get some stamina food in 🥰
· Order details · All-you-can-eat adult 29,900 won x 2 / table charge 3,000 won x 2

The first plate of eel, pork belly, and chicken neck meat comes out with the basic side dishes. Songnim Bok Jangeo says they select and prep live freshwater eel fresh every morning from eel farms and direct markets. Honestly, since it's all-you-can-eat, I wasn't expecting much, but I was surprised the eel quality exceeded my expectations 🥹 And on top of that, the pork belly and chicken neck meat were fresh, not frozen, which was a second surprise...
What's in the all-you-can-eat, including self-serve ribs

You can easily get extra eel, meat, and any side dishes you're low on at the self-serve corner. It wasn't on the first served plate, but there were ribs at the self-serve corner too! Right when eel and meat start to feel a bit much, grilling up some ribs gives it a whole new feel, so we could eat a variety of things all the way through ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°

Right now they're giving out bokbunja (Korean black raspberry) wine for receipt reviews ✨ That's news that makes any drinker's eyes light up, so we wrote our review right away and got the bokbunja wine. Eel paired with bokbunja... how good could that be?
How to grill freshwater eel, skin side first

Time for the real eating show ❤️ We grilled the skin first, following the eel-grilling method posted on the wall. Genuinely better quality than expected — are you sure this is all-you-can-eat?!
Can you see how plump this is? Out of all the places I've taken him, Songnim Bok Jangeo is my boyfriend's favorite restaurant haha. He kept saying "let's come here again," like he's only going to come here for eel from now on.
My precious eel, turning golden brown . . 🤤
Eating the plump eel with ginger dipped in teriyaki sauce on top. Oh, by the way, everyone — there's a salt shaker next to the grill, so sprinkle some salt while grilling! I didn't notice the salt shaker so I just grilled it plain, haha. Sprinkling it on after grilling is fine too 🤫🥴

And they paired it with bokbunja wine~~ but is that really how you're supposed to hold the bottle...? haha Whatever, tastes good, that's what matters, cheers 🍻 It's such a nice touch that they give bokbunja wine as a review reward 💕 It's magic that makes the eel taste even better...
Charcoal-grilled pork belly and chicken neck meat
Right when the eel started to feel like a bit much, they grilled up charcoal pork belly and chicken neck meat. Eating it this way means you never get tired of it 🐷 The pork belly and chicken neck meat seem to be good quality too. What am I supposed to do when an eel restaurant's meat is this good too, honestly

Wrapping the meat in pickled perilla leaves, and also mixing eel and meat together however I liked into wraps. My mouth was in total bliss.. ✨
Is takeout available, and how is the air conditioning?

They also do eel takeout, so it seems good if you want to buy some to grill while camping or outdoors! And since it's charcoal grilling, it can get hot, but with strong air conditioning and a big fan like this, we could eat comfortably the whole time 😎
Was Songnim Bok Jangeo worth it as a Mal-bok stamina meal?

Today is Mal-bok — did everyone get their energy back up? 🥰 On the last of the three bok-nal days, it seems like a good idea to wrap up summer with some hearty stamina food from plump eel. If you like eel, I highly recommend Songnim Bok Jangeo, where you can eat your fill at a reasonable price! Especially since you can eat pork belly, chicken neck meat, and ribs alongside the eel, it'll be even more satisfying if you like eating a variety of things like we do 💫
· Three-line summary · 🐟 An all-you-can-eat where you can enjoy everything from eel to pork belly, chicken neck meat, and ribs! 💰 32,900 won per adult for as much as you want in 2 hours 🚗 Spacious parking and a clean interior make it good for group visits like family gatherings or company dinners
