Today I want to introduce Boulangerie Tan, a bakery I keep coming back to in Paju Unjeong. They put real heart into their bread, so once you try it, it stays on your mind. I'm a regular here, so let me share another revisit review~

Boulangerie Tan has a warm, wood-interior vibe! It's a Paju Unjeong bakery spot that's also full of the smell of good bread.

The outdoor sign has the store hours and info clearly listed, so check that out! Boulangerie Tan bakes and sells everything the same day, which makes it feel even more trustworthy, and it tastes great too. They use organic, natural ingredients and dairy cream, so of course it can't taste bad~?

They also sell coffee and drinks alongside the bread, so try those too! The coffee is cheap, and since it's Fritz beans, it's nutty and delicious with no sourness.

Takeout only: how many kinds of bread does Boulangerie Tan have?

Boulangerie Tan is a takeout-only shop, so the interior is small, but the variety and care put into the bread is huge.

The bread lineup ranges from salt bread to various sandwiches, the trendy chocolate baguette, and desserts. Last time they had a Dubai baguette, and this time it was nice to see a chocolate baguette. The owner really seems to know bread trends!

Check out these delicious sandwiches~

And the pies and desserts I loved so much last time! They're full of spread like traditional French desserts, crisp and buttery — the desserts are so good too! You must try the pies. Pure luxurious flavor.

They also sell a plain loaf full of butter aroma and an olive pain de mie, staying true to the basics! Wouldn't it be great to have some Boulangerie Tan toast for a simple, delicious breakfast~?

The gift wrapping is pretty too, so consider gifting some Boulangerie Tan bread! The packaging is cute enough for a housewarming gift or for friends who love bread.

The three breads picked up on a weekend morning

Boulangerie Tan sells out fast, so I always rush over on weekend mornings, and every time I buy something, I feel like I've pulled off a successful opening run — it's a Paju Unjeong bakery that always puts me in a good mood.

Bag of bread picked up on a weekend morning

I picked well this time, didn't I~? I got the sun-dried tomato sandwich (₩7,900) I'd been curious about, the chipotle pastrami panuozzo (₩10,900) that tasted a lot like pizza, and the chocolate baguette (₩4,900) that's popular these days.

Eating them with a good latte!

Chipotle pastrami panuozzo, 10,900 won

Doesn't it look really appetizing~? First, the chipotle pastrami panuozzo had chipotle and pastrami inside, giving it a spicy, salty flavor, and as I ate it, it oddly tasted a lot like pizza! The fillings inside the bread were quite generous, so with one bite you got several flavors at once, and it was more filling than expected — good as a meal substitute too. Highly recommended for anyone who likes pizza or savory sandwiches.

Sun-dried tomato sandwich, 7,900 won

And the sun-dried tomato sandwich I'd been looking forward to from Boulangerie Tan! The rich, distinct flavor of sun-dried tomato added to the plain bread paired better than I expected. The tomato didn't have the watery texture of a fresh tomato — instead it was subtly tangy with a deep umami that pulled the whole sandwich together. It wasn't heavy, so it was fine as a light meal, and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes tomatoes. I found it clean and tangy — delicious!

Chocolate baguette, 4,900 won

And the chocolate baguette that's popular these days! I was hoping it wouldn't be too rich, and sure enough, Boulangerie Tan delivers 🫶🏻 Packed with nuts, with a clean and subtly sweet flavor that kept me reaching for more. On top of that, the texture is crispy outside and chewy inside, which makes it even better. Personally, I loved that it wasn't too sweet! Every time, I try a different item from Boulangerie Tan and think, 'Can bread really be this good?' If you're looking for a great bakery, sandwiches, or desserts, you have to visit Boulangerie Tan Unjeong Main Branch in Paju Unjeong! It's truly one of the top bakeries around.
