Seongsu Station burger date: butter-bun double cheese, bd Burger

It had been a while since our last date, so we headed to Seongsu! I couldn't decide what to eat, and we ended up at the popular handmade burger spot bd Burger. It was so good that I have to tell you about it 😊

bd Burger Seongsu: location, hours and parking

bd Burger Seongsu is on the 2nd floor of a building at 7 Seongsui-ro 14-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and it's open every day from 11:30 to 21:00. There's no parking support, so you'll need a paid lot nearby!

bd Burger Seongsu: atmosphere and seating

bd Burger is within a 5-minute walk of Seongsu Station Exit 3! Just go up to the 2nd floor of the building. I'd guess there are about 10 to 15 tables.

Being a Seongsu hotspot, it was really packed even outside mealtimes!? There were quite a few foreign visitors too!

bd Burger menu and the weekday lunch set discount

The bd Burger menu has all sorts of burgers and a wide range of sides. Ordering a set works out a bit cheaper.

There's also a weekday lunch set discount, which would be great for office workers around Seongsu Station! It's available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

How to order and use the self-service at bd Burger Seongsu

You order at the kiosk on your table! They also run an event where you get a free corn salad if you show a Naver receipt or Google Maps review.

Everything besides ordering, like pickup and drinks, is self-service. After you order, when a message pops up on the kiosk screen, you go to the counter to pick up your food.

Forks, knives, tissues and so on are at the self-service bar!! If you order a set, you get one drink refill.

When you finish eating, return your tray at the return window! The restroom is outside the building, and you need to take the card key with you to use it!

What we ordered for two at bd Burger Seongsu, and the prices

• Buldak shrimp set: ₩18,400
• Double cheeseburger set: ₩17,900
• Sides: swapped to cheese fries and fried eggplant
• Fried mushrooms: ₩7,900

The drinks came out first! I thought everything was self-service, but they brought the drinks to our table! We ordered two burger sets and swapped one drink for a milkshake.

We got a pickup alert and brought our food from the desk. Since it's self-service, it seems like all the dishes come out at once!

Buldak shrimp burger: how spicy is it?

The shrimp patty in the bd Burger Buldak shrimp burger (Buldak means fire chicken, a Korean spicy sauce style) is really thick, and the bouncy texture hit me the moment I took a bite 😋

It also comes with cheese sauce, which tones down the heat of the Buldak sauce!! The spicy-and-savory combination works so well that I'd recommend it if you like spicy food! 👍

My favorite: the double cheeseburger and its butter bun

My favorite at bd Burger was the double cheeseburger 🤍 A thick double cheese patty combined with a juicy beef burger 🍔 When you bite in, the meat juices spread through your mouth, and it's honestly so good 😭😭😭

Seriously, you have to order the double cheeseburger,,, 👍 It's hefty, the very definition of a handmade burger, and you'll be really satisfied!! I think the bun at bd Burger is a butter bun! It feels soaked in butter and is so rich and nutty that the bun alone was delicious 😂

Swapping the set side at bd Burger: cheese fries, fried mushrooms, fried eggplant

With a bd Burger set, you can swap the default fries for another side. The extra charge differs a little by item. We swapped to cheese fries, fried mushrooms and fried eggplant 😁

The cheese fries are crispy fries piled with cheese sauce, and don't they look delicious just sitting there!? The salty seasoned potatoes went really well with the rich cheese sauce. Salty, nutty and savory all at once, so there's no way it could taste bad. 🍟

Next up are the fried mushrooms. The mushrooms were whole, and when you bite in, the mushroom juices fill your mouth 😆 Dipped in the ranch sauce they give you, they're a perfect match 👍

The fried eggplant is crispy outside and moist inside, and it went so well with the chipotle sauce they gave us 👍

All the sides were great alongside the burgers. We were so hungry that we got greedy and ordered a bit of everything, and the portions were bigger than expected. In the end some sides were left over, so we took them home 😁

How was bd Burger Seongsu as a Seongsu date burger spot?

bd Burger Seongsu is already famous as a Seongsu hotspot, so I had high expectations before visiting, and once I ate there I immediately got why it's so popular!! Not just the burgers but every single side satisfied us, and both the taste and quality beat my expectations.
