I had not groomed my eyebrows for a while because of a busy schedule and travel. While doing my makeup, I felt they needed tidying, so I visited Minjei Makeup Eyebrow Grooming, Gangnam Seocho Branch (민제이메이크업 눈썹정리 강남서초점). I received advice on a design suited to my face shape and also went over the asymmetry that usually bothered me, as well as how to maintain them at home.

How do you get there from Gangnam Station, and is parking available?

The studio is at B1, Unit 107, 34 Hyoryeong-ro 77-gil, Seocho-gu. The hours listed in the original post were Tue–Thu 10:00–19:30 and Fri–Sun 10:00–21:00, with regular closure every Monday. The post said to use the Acrotel Gangnam Station parking lot and that a 70-minute free parking voucher is provided.

By public transit, it is about a five-minute walk from Exit 5 of Gangnam Station on the Shinbundang Line.

What were the consultation space and tool management like?

It was a quiet, clean space centered on one-on-one consultations. Rather than a busy setting with consultations alongside other people, it felt focused on an individual appointment.

Each small drawer held items such as disposable cotton swabs, brushes, and spoolie brushes sorted by type. The drawers were labeled with dates and categories, and I noticed how the tools and consumables were managed separately.

Because I also work in beauty, I tend to notice cleanliness and tool management. The space felt so clean that I joked with the owner that it would be hard to find any dust. A certificate and medal for the 2025 Korea Consumer Industry Assessment (KCIA) beauty category were also displayed in the studio.

Snacks were also prepared for customers to have while waiting.

How did the face-shape consultation and eyebrow grooming work?

First, they looked at my face shape and eye shape, then checked my eyebrow asymmetry. The consultation alone felt like it took roughly five to ten minutes; instead of grooming right away, they carefully analyzed my current brows before deciding on the design.

After the analysis, they sanitized the area and trimmed the eyebrow length. They then removed the fine hairs around the brows, making their outline clearer. The consultation and grooming process felt different from when I maintain them myself.

When balancing the asymmetry, they looked at the density on both sides, the height of the tails, and the position of the brow arches, grooming them to be as balanced as possible.

Do they also explain how to draw and maintain your eyebrows at home?

Because the difference between my two eyes is noticeable, I usually pay attention to it when applying makeup. I learned how to naturally fill in the groomed brows with a brow pencil, powder, and mascara, and I was also recommended colors that suited my face.

At the end, they gave me the eyebrow razor used for my service. They explained how to draw my brows at home, how often to groom them, and recommended products, so I could use that as a reference for maintaining the shaped brows myself.

What did I like about the eyebrow grooming?

What stayed with me from this visit was the orderly tools, clean space, and consultation that considered my face shape and brow asymmetry. I was satisfied that it did not end with brow grooming: I could also learn about colors, how to draw them, and maintenance methods.
